@TheWitchdoctr You have to remember that the Stitch! adaptation was catered specifically for the Japanese market to fit in as a children's anime. The show was even produced by a big name anime house in Japan. Due to this I think that may have been a large factor in the shift towards Okinawan culture (which the animators knew) from Hawaiian and thus the change in locale, backstory, and cast. Why Disney thought it a good idea to take it outside of Japan though is beyond me.

This is the old disney, what they have now is a bunch of slutty girls trying to get some boy to like them. Have you even seen one episode of Jessie, i swear there are so many sex or boyfriend/girlfriend suggestive things in that show it's ridiculous and perverted. When i'm older and have my own kids - they can watch disney but it's going to be a classic disney movie. not disney channel.
