She was not the type of woman that would strip down and wear minimum fancy clothes to sell her image and her music. She relied on her innate talent and true love for quality music like jazz. That's why she succeeded! I think she is a role model for singers out there when it comes to self dignity however, the drugs were inserted in her life because of other unfair factors which she probably felt they were beyond her control to handle and so she slipped away.

Holy shit, she looks so different...she was rational and intelligent, albeit just a bit erratic. And the face, the body...such a nice girl. Her voice was better as well.

One of distinctive signs of later Amy Winehouse was the endless and continuous itchy on arms...she do it sometime during this interview. :-(

Two years later she was skinny, on heavy drugs and with a filthy appearence. And now she's dead. Maybe these video will make justice of her image.

@cuoccimix Itchy arms, are just itchy arms, or a nervous thing, don't mean drugs, she'd have track marks if it meant drugs. Yea, people need to see this side of Amy, and her performances, and the funny brits campaign thing from this time, glastonbury, tin the park, all amazing, live stuff from italy too. x

@bernybuzzboz Itchy arms are not related to needles and syringes, but it's an indirect physiologic consequence of smoking crack (read on internet). Maybe she was just beginning at that time, i don't know. Probably the daily relation with a junkie turned her from occasional consumer to total addict.

I agree anyway - see the Festivalbar performance in Italy. I prefer to see pre-2006 performances.

@cuoccimix She was anti drugs vehemently, only smoked pot and drank, it wasn't til she met blake the snake she started hard drugs and he admitted he introduced them to her, at the time, she got back with him, her nan had dies, she was at a low ebb and had crazy/blind love for blake was 2006 when she started hard drugs. Early performances outstanding x

@sapphirebhs She evolved like a young woman should..and does. I love her new look personally. She's always had an attitude...I kinda like that because it keeps her "real"..not a phony like a USA glamah-queen...like Amy alway's says: "know what uh mean?" 61 and have everything I can find by her...vinyl, cds, dvds..and POSTERS...wow! Pictures...my music is recharged thanks to Amy. No end to what I could say about her.

@chazmology I didn't mind the hairstyle, tattoos and what not but her face and body looked healther and her skin had a glow back then. In late 2007 through 2008, she looked very ill and underweight almost on the brink of death at some points. In the last 2 years, her appearance and weight improved though.

@sapphirebhs You are right there my friend....I just try to remember her like she would have liked me too. I dodged all the negatives about her...Jokes and such, funny pics etc...I almost died from alcohol and drugs so when I saw what Amy was about I cried....She was ME! Talented but addicted.....so....we both love Amy...why?....Because Amy brought us together. For the record: her younger look..weight etc,,was in fact healthier looking.
