It's so clear now. The creator of kaizo mario was hired to create the special stages but he wasn't allowed to use any invisible coin blocks.

Now that I think about it, this level would be worse than kaizo mairo if they put in invisible coin blocks.

i am so pro at this level.... but its only from dying 50 times at it i HATE 9-7 and its stupid frozen black pirahna plants i spent like an hour on this stage and a friend of mine was all like "if you take a break and come back to it you will get it easier" i said no the only way to get through it is complete mastery. well after mastering the level but not completing it i took a break came back later and beat it on my first try, all 3 star coins too

Power Star automatically gives you a speed boost to offset the slipping on ice. But It's possible to go halfway through 9-7 non-stop with one.
