I've played it online. Yeah, fairly laggy. We got it to run %100 smooth but at the cost of like 5 second imput delay.

Probably because the slightest lag at this scale would cause massive problems and it isn't worth the trouble to work them out.

I don't know If you can play lan, but with hamachi, it would be possible to go with lan over the internet.

You cant play with hamachi either,since it creates a fake LAN network,it does NOT speed your internet connection up in any ways...SO it still would lag horribly,if you think you can take it,then go on and play!

The scene is not a multiplayer scene. Its the IRC scene. As in a chatroom. CC can connect to the internet but it absolutely cannot play over the internet.

ok no more talk about online play its been explained many many times, the main problem is well lag, Cortex Command registers at least 5 MILLION pixels per shot. now since some guns have insane fire rates (minigun) I would say that it would get amazingly laggy

Actually, a guy on the fan forums made a scene in which you can only have one guy at a time of your choosing, and you can interact with, maybe not shoot, just interact, shoot if you want, them.

Visit their fanforums. They have lots of mods and self made missions, take this one where you have to assassinate few Ronins with only one guy on this big ass bunker map, crawling through ventilation shafts etc.
