Seriously what clicked in your head and said race car when you came across a 1.5L Civic ? I'm not trying to be a prick but If you would have left this car alone and not treated it as something it is not it probably would have ran issue free for a very long time. If you want a performance vehicle buy one, not a cheap little economy vehicle.

@CMI1986X64 I paid $900 for this car and probably got around $5000 total in the motor, suspension,exhaust, rims and tires. I still get 38.7965 miles to the gallon as a daily driver, it runs a GT mustang to about 100 mph, it can't be caught on any mountain road, and its a Honda. No where did I say this was a race car and I built it to be FUN and quick not a drag car. I'll take my "economy" car any day of the week thanks.

For all that money into this thing you could have picked up a GST or GT4 or something plenty of other cars that were actually engineered for performance. Can't be caught huh?? Its all JDM or USDM parts son I still dont get the rice reference. So your saying the Honda's are not engineered to be fast and handle well, I laugh at this statement you are out of your mind. No, honda has plenty of performance vehicles that are great machines like the NSX and their bikes, I own a 96 CBR 900RR with 42,000 miles on it still running like a honda should, My point is a civic is not one of the performance vehicles, it was never made by honda to be a performance vehicle. Drive it for what it is.

Same thing happening on my focus svt. The gasket is blown and it's leaking oil into the spark plugs. I replaced the plugs and it sounded normal until the next day.

This head gasket failed due to the old torque wrench I used being off by 20lbs.I fixed it in one day with no other problems.I run the sh!t out of this car and built it for that very purpose so before you comment about something make sure you know what your talking about.

Yea old toque wrenches suck LOL I bet you had the one with the bar that moves when you torque the bolt down right? those are always off. the torque wrenches with the dial are much better.

Yea it was all I had at the time.I broke down and bought a craftsman torque wrench with the click dial set-up it works great.

Hmm.... In Texas I don't think there is many laws on loud... As long as you don't cut the pipes off at the manifolds lol.

For Texas state inspection, your car has to have everything on it that it came with out of the factory... Cat, pipes, resonator(I think resonator...), etc.

A lot of the time they won't look under the car to check out your exhaust - but I have seen them do it on my probe.

Um I live in Texas lmao, only thing it needs are of course the headers, visually inspect catalytic converts (so technically you can just gut them out and they'd never know) and a muffler, no resonator required, and your car must not be throwing any codes

My pontiac did that the timing chain skipped and the cylinder head got trashed. Sounds like you have the same problems run a compression check.

Hard to say but if you are losing coolant I would guess that the head gasket could be part of the problem.

on my pug205 i tihnk my head gaskets gone, its using alot of coolant, ive noticed its not got asmuch power at pulling away. but mine doesnt blow out white smoke (steam). wat do u recon it is?

Maybe you are losing coolant due to radiator leak. Look for coolant in the oil one tell tail sign of head gasket failure.

Shaking? Bad motor and tranny mounts do this, the rubbers are torn in pieces and makes metal to metal contact on the car frame.

I just discovered that my motor mounts are broken on my E30 BMW. Shakes and rumbles like mofo at low speeds/low revs.

Yes it is pretty easy I did it with the block and exhaust all still in the car.I purchased the head gasket from local HONDA dealer.The whole project start to finish only took about 5 hours.
