redrill the hubs to 5x114.3 ( machine shop ) and put new studs. the whole process for front and rear shouldnt run u more than 200$ AT MOST. but its been done before and again. if you spent 1500 on just the 5 lug conversion then u got mad ripped off. 1500 should get u 5 lug, lude blades w/ tires and some ksport or F&F coilovers with a few cheese burgers from BK.

One head-on in a 92 hatch with a tahoe, two rollovers with no seat belt on, and T-boned by a jackass in a new accord at 70 (I was in a kia for fucks sake) and walked away from every one of those.Third gen preludes kick ass,I had an 86 with the dual carbs for my first car and I can honestly say it was the most fun I have had in a car ever.I have gone through about 16 other cars,trucks and jeeps in the last 10 years but nothing comes close.

are the 5 bolt hubs interchangeable with our 3rd gen hubs? i was looking to do this myself but ended up with a set of 4 x 100, do they have the same bearings or do the 5th gen hubs go straight in?
i would say drive both cars and then decide ...my friend has the 99 it's nice car i drove it but didn't realy like it because the 97-00 is a totaly different car than the 88-91 i would rather have the old once than the new once because there aren't many of those cars now adays it's a beautiful car to keep
@nishraa the 90 model ones you have the issue of getting parts everything has to be made or ordered and they are very susectaple to damage from debris on the road. I have one its not a day to day car its just a toy. And some mechanics won't even touch them I took mine to NTB for alignment they said they wouldnt touch it I ended up having to go to ASAA racing to get it aligned.

For frontal crash rating on the passenger side it got 3 stars (out of 5), but the driver's side only got 1 star! The reason for this was due to an astronomically high Head Injury Criterion (HIC) of 1279! The passenger HIC was a lower but still high 854. Compare that to the 92-96 Prelude that got 4 stars for driver and 5 stars for passenger! HIC ratings for this car was 511 and 555. BA4 = unsafe
