@g726245 Here is what you do. If you go to Munich, get to the tents in the morning when they first open. There are tables for people without reservations, it is a first come first serve type of deal. Me and 3 friends went in 2008 without reservations and had no problem being seated each day we went. 12 hours in a tent will fly by each day. Email me on here if you want links to the photos. Munich is a great city.

In Florida, USA, one takes what one can get. I lived in Germany 7 years, and would really prefer a Spaten or Hofbrau over Becks. Unfortunately, they are not available in 'take home' packaging . Becks HB is not bad at all; Becks pils, I agree, is bad. Don't be mistaken, many German beers are worse, IMO, such as Eichbaum and Heidelberger Schlossquell.
