@AndreiAvramescu Interesting question. Unfortunately I don't have an answer. I just checked the manual and the labels on the motor and there's no torque information and my dremel has long since died so I can't do a comparison.
great video have you tried radial bristle brushes from 3m they are colour coded for abrasive grit sizes and are brilliant for deburring or polishing 6 inch dia maximum with spindle mandrels supplied worth trying
@redneckrollercoast1 I used it only as a grinder around the time I made the video and then took it apart to use the motor for something else, so it worked well as a grinder for that brief time. I can't say how well it would have worked in the long term. The motor worked great in my other application though!
@jbravo70 In my case I bought this mini bench grinder to take apart and use the dual shafted motor for something else (the link in the description says what for.) Maybe someone else with experience with the Dremel 4000 can give an opinion?
Work 3 times on balsa wood and quit working, when I turn it on sometimes it will give a 1/3 rd spin the stop turn on again and nothing. wasted money again..not even a 3 weeks old....
@bobbysam232 Some things are made for dremels to attach to (dremel drill press stands for example), but for everything else, why not? This is a very sweet machine.
I purchased mine from tool-sale c0m and it works exactly as show and I love it. Best part was it was only $35, cheaper than HF and I didn't have to drive 40 miles.
It cost $84.50 CDN ($80.45 USD) by the time you include shipping. Without shipping it was around $40.00 USD. I just updated the box on the right with this info. As for the loudness, you have to raise your voice a little bit to talk over it but the best I can say is to judge by the sound in the video. Turn the volume up so my voice sounds normal volume.
The company is Neiko Tools USA, though I bought it off of ebay. Unfortunately I've since separated the motor from the base and mounted it in something I'm building. The base weighs 630grams. The motor I can only estimate as 700-1200grams, based on how much I remember it weighing in relation to the base. If you want to see what I'm building with the motor, click on my channel name in the box to the right of the video above and look at the video, "Hyde generator first speed test".
Hi there. Can you tell me about the power of this beauty? I'm interested in the torque of this compared to a Dremel.
thanks.

@AndreiAvramescu
isn't torque reliant on amps?

Do you prefer this to the Dremel 4000? I think Dremel costs about $140.

@tpdweller01 Wow, that's a bummer. Have you tried getting your money back? Even if it was an ebayer, you'll usually be able to.

Thanks for pointing out these cheaper sources! More than half what I bought it for.

If you're close to Harbor Freight, they presently sell this exact machine for $39.99. They frequently email discount coupons for 15% - 20% off.
