  • hmmm, i mean it looks fast but my rc18b on a 3s with a mamba 8000kv motor rips way faster then yours almost uncontrollable im just confused not trying to bash but urs on a 3s with a 8000kv should be way faster ur sure u got a 8000kv motor

  • @joaquinserra maybe our gearing is different and different size wheel and tire?

  • hi. nice setup.

is a direct fit the motor? i have the rc18t2

about the run time how much?

  • @Pellogt Yup, the motor is a direct fit to the RC18T, should be for the RC18T2 as well. Run time depends on battery, but 20+ minutes is good for a battery over 2000Mah

  • By upgrading the differentials what brand are you referring to?

  • Motor overheating on that setup?

  • Is the mamba motor made by castle creations?

  • Is the Mamba motor made my Castle?

  • dang at :27 you almost lost it

  • whats the difference between a rc18t and a rc18b

  • t is a truck and b is a buggy

  • its not necessary if you properly shim your diffs and ease on the throttle. However if you're doing full throttle from a stop and doing jumps offroad, you may want to upgrade them. Stock will work for a while, but life is shortened a good amount

  • how do you properly do that?

  • did you have to upgrade the differential gears?

  • top speed??? 5/5

  • how fast did it go with the stock motor?

how much did the brushless motor cost?

  • Micro pro can handle more amps.

  • That thing is RAPID!

Lol, has your RC18 ever fallen into that drain? :P

  • mine has! it was stock though. It was all underwater so i took it out, took apart the speed control and let it dry and it turned out to be fine. It smelled bad though when it got hot.

  • what did you do to get the slop out of the steering? i bought a integy steering assembly but i still have a little slop

  • I never tested it long enough to find out. I have a much powerful setup coming though that should be much faster

  • and what 'mah' are your lipos, or what do you recommend if you're changing?

  • 2200mah batteries. Take the mah rating and divide by 1000.Then, take that number and find the closest amp charging rate on your charger that is less than the number you found

  • And am i correct in saying that a lipo battery needs a specific charger for that battery? so if you have a particular companies battery, do u need their charger too? could you please recommend a good battery with a good (balancing) charger.

    thank you!

  • google search hobby city. Find the batteries with the that less than the following dimensions, they should fit, 105mmx35mmx30

  • so how long can you get out of your batteries?

  • I didn't have any trouble, but I did keep run times very short

  • So have you had any trouble with the motor over heating with that gearing set-up?

  • i got the sidewinder 8000kv and shiit runs amazing, but not as fast on the video you got there

  • hey can u please tell me wut battery that is and where u got it

  • Wow I wonder how much of that is micro pro and how much is battery. How does it compare to the Mamba 25? I am running two 18Ts. 1 mamba25 6.8 and one tekin mini rage 6.9

I like the tekin system a little better than the mamba 25 but its so BIG that there is no such thing as a CLEAN/PRO install. I'll make a vid if you want to see.

  • I just called the Castle tech line because I'm about to buy a Micro Pro. The tech said there is practically no performance difference between the Micro Pro and the Mamba 25. The Pro can handle more power but that doesn't necessarily mean more speed. The Pro can handle a larger motor too, but if you're using one of Castles CM-20xx series motor you won't notice any difference between the Mamba 25, the Sidewinder, or the Micro Pro.

  • What I am hearing is:

BUY THE MICRO PRO BECAUSE YOU CAN RUN LARGER MOTORS TOO!!!

If you are happy factory brushless buy any of em.

    Is that right?

  • Personally I am interested in running larger and longer cans with much much bigger gears (think 18-20/50) at the 3-5kv range. I am thinking TONS of torque with the power to pull the longer gear and give the same speed or faster than my 6.8 w/ way more torque.

Its an experiment I have wanted to try

  • Wat batteris u have and wat do u charge them wit?
