He has a think called "line-lock", you can see on the steering wheel´s left side a button. What he does is he presses the brake petal and then he holds the button in to activate the line-lock, then he can let go the brake petal but the car stays in brake on the front wheels until he let´s go the button, that way he can do the burnout without moving or putting any more stress on the drive train than nessesery. You can see that he also uses it when he is staging in the lights...

Burnouts are done by reving the engine, dumping the clutch, then applying the brake while the wheels are spinning. It takes a little practice. And make sure you disable your traction control system if you have one...you won't be getting wheel spin if it's on.
