Bf3 has an amazing presentation, the graphics are mindblowing and it's campaign is preety good. But i think it lacks realism in the character clases. BF2 on the other hand, as same on BF1942 had many clases, and everyone found a good use for them. Anotherthing is the singleplayer bot support on bf2 they would try to fullfil their role to the best of their ability, something you dont get from real players. Personally, i like bf2 better.
I would love to play a game where people actually played like the military. Clearing rooms as a squad and moving as a unit. That would be really awesome. But everyone wants to either run in and shoot people up, or be a sniper. That's why I play racing games now. Haha.
Battlefield 3 is like a War Movie, people dying everywhere tanks Rockets jet shooting down people people shooting jets down Doctors reviving people people giving other ammo and the team is better than 1.

Its not that they changed the sniper to a designated marksman by taking away the ghillie suit they just turned you into an urban sniper where you look much more realistic in a city/urban environment than seeing some weirdo run around in a ghillie suit which wouldnt fit the environment at all.

Wow. Watching this video makes me even happier to have bought BF3. Gives me confidence that EA etc. listen to feedback and make changes to their game. A lot of things in this video (e.g. spawning only on squad leader) have been modified between July and the official release. Shows that they're really willing to put together a great product with lots of input before releasing it.
@nano4288 It's not EA's game. EA is the publisher of the game, they really don't care what happens with the game as long as they are making money. All EA is there for is to give DICE money to make the game. DICE is the developer, they are the ones who actually make the game.

@ivakpavlov Specializations are just perks, and so many guns came from MW2 on to it too,on battlefield 1 and 2 you only had 3 things to choose from. Now you can create youre own gun with attchments. Flak is blast shield, Explosive is danger close, and Sprint is light weight!!!

@518Theron If you played BF3 you would know that that was only during the first month everyone wanted to use jets.. now everyones adapted to the game and less people do it now :) and there is no killstreaks because we can do good enough without them.. also causes less camping.. Rather play a game with grown up then kids going "OMG I GOT A QUICKSCOPE" or "OMG I GOT A MOAB" "I got a throwing knife" quite annoying..

@518Theron you do realize the first battlefield game (bf1942) came out in 2002 while the first call of duty game came out 2003...so how is bf stealing anything from cod? on top of that the engine bf3 has is new, fresh, and awsome...although a bit buggy. cod on the other hand has the same engine from cod3...just slightly updated. i have and love both games...but trying to say either is a ripoff of the other...makes you a moron.

Wow. Watching this video makes me even happier to have bought BF3. Gives me confidence that EA etc. listen to feedback and make changes to their game. A lot of things in this video (e.g. spawning only on squad leader) have been modified between July and the official release. Shows that they're really willing to put together a great product with lots of input before releasing it.

@nano4288 It's not EA's game. EA is the publisher of the game, they really don't care what happens with the game as long as they are making money. All EA is there for is to give DICE money to make the game. DICE is the developer, they are the ones who actually make the game.

me and a mate have set up a squad with friends, im recon and as you said, recon can be quite a selfish, we've made a plan where im gonna be taking out targets, warning them about enemy armor or troops heading in there direction and also flying the helicopter as extractions and drop offs... now i just gotta hope it goes to plan when i get the game XD
