Martha Argerich started her career with this piece.  Schumann is an extremely mature composer who is just beginning to become better understood. Don't let the purists know that because as soon as they do they'll mortify him like the did to Beethoven.

I only have a fragment of this concerto up on my youtube. I had never learned anything this hard before when I did. I only had two months to learn what I could of it for a competition while at college. Very difficult and beautiful work!

It's the last 4 minutes of the 1st movement including the second half of the recapitulation the cadenza and the coda...

I played this concerto in college and was a piano performance major at a US Conservatory of Music. I was about 19 when I played it. You have an amazing gift. What a talent you are.
