What a fun movie, but I only now realized how women are unimportant in Willie's movies. The women gave it meaning, and it is the only reason to watch it now. However, I still love Willie...his songs resonate with me.
i have been writing for 35 years love willy i have written a bunch of songs for him, went to see him on dec 9th in mtn home ar, gave him a c.d and sure hope he listens to it, i know if he dose he will sing pony express trail.please listen to these 2 songs and let me know what you think? listen to me on you tube diggermoles the cherokee, i have plenty more if any one needs a hit i have them. thanks so much the songwriting cherokee
oh my great God, if i got to sing with that beauty & she looked at me like that & then kissed me, i am at a loss for words !!! she's another P.I.B., pefect in beauty !!
This song has been called both Unclouded Day and Uncloudy Day. The original of Uncloudy Day (no relation to this song) is a 1949 version by the Staple Singers. You want to hear a legendary Willie tune you may have never heard? Try "The Rainbow Connection."
EVERYtime I hear this song I get happy. Happy to remember I'll once again be with the ones I've lost, my dad, Jason, Danny, Gramps & Grandma and on and on...(and I have the DVD too) :)
i wished i could have the chance to meet willi like my brother did, i love you willie, always will, i probably won't hear from you,but good luck and all the happiness and your awesome, my 1 wish and dream come true, is meetimg you, i know its never gonna happen,i adore you, love you, ohh yeaa, i'm sure you won't get to read this, ohh well..a very devoted fan of urs since the 70'o robin
Good song. Diane Cannon has had so much plastic surgery and her lips blown up so much that she now looks like a freak. Too bad Hollywood women feel that this stuff makes them look good. They are delusional. I guess that each one of them thinks that theirs isn't going to look as bad as the last person to have these procedures done. It never works, especially the collegen lips. yuck
I actually got the movie after watching this video. It makes more sense now. How it could be named "Uncloudy Day" which was the link that brought me to this video at the start of it all.
I suspect Willie Nelson changed it. The hymn was indeed called "Unclouded Day", and the chorus of the hymn never contained the words "uncloudy sky". I suspect Willie made those changes when he put the song on his album "The Troublemaker".
I love Diane Cannon. I remember when she married Cary Grant and everyone had a stroke about it. It's nice to see someone survive Hollywood. The shows that she gets now are always cancelled, but she's still true to herself.
Best country movie ever.

I think Cannon should have at least been nominated for an Oscar for this role.
