This was a time when families were family....just plain and simple. When a childs view of the world was all about play, finding the hidden presents and dreams of things to come:) Oh, the love of Christmas and the joy of children..
I remember seeing this on the Disney Channel back in the late 90's. I used to taped it off of TV, but I used to have it, and I got rid of them. I missed that special. Great to see it back here. As for the creator of the "Family Circus" comic strip, RIP: Bil Keane (1922-2011) :(
Thanks so much for posting this! This was a family favorite growing up and we had it recorded on an old Vhs that had long since disappeared. I watched this every Christmas season.
Thank you for posting this. Back in 1980 I had to miss it due to a Christmas service at my aunt and uncle's church. It's been bugging me ever since. I LOVE YOUTUBE!
I remember watching this on the Disney channel too in the 90s! Man I miss those days when they had awesome stuff on! Now its not worth watching anymore! Thank god for You tube!
Thank you so much for posting this! We use to watch this a lot as a kid! My dad loved it especially. My grandfather died when Dad was 14, so it will always have a special place in our hearts at Christmas! Thanks again for sharing and bringing back great memories for My family and I!
Thankyou for posting this. I video taped this back in the eary 90's and I used to play it to my children every christmas. It became part of my christmas colection/ ritua every year as we set up our Christmas tree. thanks again.
OMG! this brings back so many memories! Though, this predates my existance, I got to watch it in school during Christmas... how I'd love to be 8 again!
Thank you for uploading this! I was thinking about Christmas' past and the plethora of videos that made it so great for me as a child, and this one was one of the first to come to mind. You have no idea how special this is for me. Again, thank you!
you have no idea how long i've been looking for this!!! Disney channel use to show this all the time years ago(whern it was good) Thank you so much for uploading this!!!!!!!!!!
Hold up that scene with Dolly tripping on the box, them begging the mom to open them, and Billy putting up his own decoration wasn't on the VHS. Those guys were holding out on the scenes
Thanks for the upload. I have a vague memory of this as kid but I have loved "family circus" all of my adult life. Now-a-days the cartoon are not as innocent.
wow i saw this the year it was released when i was 3 and only have the vaguest memories of it, watching to see if my memories are correct or if it sparks any knew ones, 1980 is about as far back as I can remember.
Thank you so much! I absolutely loved this special as a child. Although, looking back, it's a bit strange that Santa Claus actually brought Grandad back from the dead! I feel for the poor kids who asked Santa to bring back deceased relatives and didn't get the response that Jeffy did, LOL. Do you by any chance have "A Family Circus Easter" or "A Special Valentine with the Family Circus?" Those were favorites of mine, too.
Hi thanks for your comment, unfortunately I don't have the Easter one, with the Easter Bunny. I have seen it on youtube, it was on here until recently but it has gone. Hopefully the person will upload it again
I have this special from 1980 with original commercials,it comes with Jack Frost 1980 airing with original commercials-90 min
Mister Magoos Christmas Carol 1979 with original commercials
A Muppet Family Christmas uncut ABC Airing 1987 with original commercials-60 min
&More.

I've never understood why this comic is popular. It's terrible.

@shadowspike99
probably because it's kid friendly, people between the ages of 12-50 hate it
