Just pick the worst neighborhoods and drive through them showing every really terrible house for no more than 3 seconds each.

i know demolition costs alot... but a little torch dont. burn all the abandoned houses completely down then bring in a track loader and scoop up the ashes or spread them out and put fill dirt over top of it. it would look alot better than this and it would be so cheap. you could clear a lot out for prob less than 2 grand.
