If we are talking about dwraka, roughly about 12,000 years ago.

Ramayana takes much before this.

No wonder, In ramayana we do talk about Load Hanuman, Vali and Sugreeva, which talks about Ape like humans, means we are talking about 50,000+ thousands of years, where some of humans were still evolving from ape.

Questions also arises, Is Dwaraka the lost city of Atlantis?

There are very advanced cities, well planned civilizations, peace loving, all these says something to think about.
