Reminds me of northern thailand and laos, I only been to Vientiane lately and you can still get a good brew there, even tho its crawling these days and a lot more expensive than the late 90's, nice vid, brings back fond memories :)
Hey, if u like this coffee or u want to try & see how it tastes like, I can tell u how to make it yourself easily. The idea is to make it as strong and flavorful as possible. 1) Put 2 tablespoonful of condensed milk and 4 tablespoonful of instant coffee (Folgers or Taster's Choice) into a standard size coffee cup. 2) Fill 3/4 of the cup with boiling water. 3) Stir until coffee and milk completely disolved. Enjoy it while it's hot! P.S. Plan to stay awake for quite some times.
This coffee stand is still open and very popular, but this man died about four years ago and his son and daughter-in-law now run it. Still worth dropping by though!
I love the sound of the ducks quacking in the background. I want to travel again!!! It's those simple but unusual pleasures like this shop that make it great. Thanks.
My favourite are the "rice planting, washing & bookmobiles". I watched them over and over and get the eyes swelling every time. Love your very simple camera style, its a mirror reflection of Lao.
