  • Tears for fear also sings rule.

  • The fact that this is a sample/ remix, redux of "everybody wants to rule the world" makes me cry tears of joy.

  • Nasty nas is a rebel to America lyrical professor keep you under preacher!!!

  • this only has 173,614 views?

  • @AIRjordan93x this now only has 176,244 views.... Somebody doesn't want this info out...

  • 99% of people who think lil wayne is better then Nas have not heard this track or various others.

  • @truesoldier11231 no 100 p.c of people who think lil wayne is better than nass dont have a taste in music and/or no brains

  • Every time I listen to real Hip-Hop, it inspires me. Unfortunately, this is the type of Hip-Hop that is rarely played on the radio.

  • STOP ALL DIS FIGHTING, LISTEN 2 DA GOD DANM MUSIC.

  • fuck im trying to get this song online but whenever i find it there is always a fucking dog barking the background

  • @broncoboy0747892 lmfaooo

  • nas, tupac, t.i., eminem nd lil wayne got the best lyrics! fuk the rest

  • @honeythebunni

LOL! T.I. and Wayne aren't in that company.

On another note, this is a great track.

  • @Ginga watever! guess youhavnt read t.i.z lyrics! hes a beast!

  • @honeythebunni

T.I. is as mainstream as it gets; of course I've listened to his lyrics. Before his gun charges, he wasn't anything special. And while he seemingly got more lyrical after just before going to jail the first time and coming out, he still wasn't in Nas or Jay-Z's company. Those two CHANGED hip hop. What T.I. done besides produce some relatively successful singles?

  • @Ginga T.i.z lyrics have always been the ish! even before jail. and who is jay-z? he aint got nothin on t.i. tupac nas or eminem. he didnt change hip hop. Nas got a big impact on hip hop as well as couple other rappers but deff not jay-z. How about i ask you the same question. What has Jay-z done besides produce some relatively successful singles?

  • Comment removed

  • @honeythebunni

Way to dodge my question. You're entitled to your opinions about T.I. but to say Jay-Z has "nothin on" T.I. is absolutely laughable. Jay-Z is a better businessman & better lyricist than T.I. You ask what has Jay done. I'm not even a big Jigga fan but I can tell you Reasonable Doubt is regarded by many hip hop fans & artists as a classic. It's been compared to Ready to Die & Illmatic. To a lesser extent, the same goes for "The Blueprint". What classic albums has T.I. produced?

  • @honeythebunni ARE U FUCKED UP!?!? obviously u were born this year because jay z ,even tho i dont really like him, started rapping waay back he had much more impact than fucking T.I. I cant name some of his good songs from back then off my head because im not much of a fan of him but atleast i know that jay z is a real rapper not fucking T.I. and u have nooo right to argue with any1 because u said Lil wayne is good??? wtf listen to some really hip hop.

  • @honeythebunni Lil wayne lyrics? You mean YUNG MUNY THIS YUNG MUNY THAT. Yea, thats about it stfu kid dont even bring that name into the commenets

  • @AZiaticILLmatic fuck yeah bro lil wayne isnt close to nas

  • Every citizen in Cleveland, OH, should listen to this song. Fuck that, the WHOLE WORLD needs to!!!

  • I feel it nas. I feel it hard.

  • whats the orginal song of this beat?

  • @LeggoMyLegHoe tears for fears, everybody wants to rule the world

  • @LeggoMyLegHoe

Tears For Fears - Everybody Wants To Rule The World

The whole beat wasn't sampled, just re-sequenced with diff instruments. They did use the synth sample. You'll see what I mean if you listen to the original.

  • Everybody wants to rule the world, y'all

  • legend.

  • do you guys know if Nas writes his own lyrics? Cuz if he does and if Kanye West is considered "a lyrical genius" then Nas is a lyrical god

  • @nameno1elsehas yeah he does

  • @alzie09 also didnt nas ghostwrite 2 of will smiths album..not sure of anyone else dough..

  • @nameno1elsehas yah he does write his own lyrics.......

  • @nameno1elsehas kanye sucks so shut up,

  • @TH3N3XTKB24 Nas is amazing, so who cares?

  • @nameno1elsehas nah nas is god's creator than

  • Nas is a boss.

  • listen to this, play this on mtv and radio, and ppl will get the message. but radio and tv plays the meaningless songs that lower IQ -.- what a shame. nas keeps kickin knowledge in the form of hip hop

  • One of the best musical responses to 9/11.

  • @wmirza89 It's also the best musical response to the somalia starvation, the iraq war,and poverty all over the world...think again

  • nas! my favorite rapper of all time. fuck. he's the truth. all he wants is world peace and people to wake up and stop the hate! love you nas! when you pass ill cry and miss you. one love <3

  • Danmm NAS ;; Yuu Gett 'Em ;)

  • hes one of da best no toppin dat hes so ounderrated when deres shit rappers like young money and eminem for all u wite people eminem is shit so r his lyrics hes awigga 4 life

  • its "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" by Tears for Fears :)

  • Nas is the shit

  • Which song is this sampling?? It sounds familiar but I just cnt get the name of it..

  • This song brings out emotions. And it makes me feel good. I really like this song. People that dont feel this song are not that real. Feel me? Yea im white, and im listen to the real

  • jay couldn't even do something like this only Pac and Nas care about the world thats why they my 1 and 2

  • @jukeria I feel the same.

  • @jukeria fucking hate jay z im with you on this one

  • @jukeria LUPE

  • I know this samples the Tears for Fears joint, but for some reason the melody reminds me of Michael Jackson. It sounds like something he'd sing on.

  • why dont you finish the song "and my country's a muthafucka"

  • NAS best song

  • Such a calming voice. Fuck the radio nas is hip hop.

  • @Th3Graduate

The radio has plenty of music that's better than Nas...

  • @VictimOfBoredom

Name one artist who is even better than nas let alone the radio? Ur fucking dumb nas is one of thebest hip hop artists to ever live. Go listen to ur soulja boy bullshit

  • @Th3Graduate

    "Ur fucking dumb"

Fucking hilarious. I always laugh whenever I see others insult others' intelligence over the Internet while simultaneously not even being able to use their own native language properly.

Your "Soulja Boy" comment just illustrates how utterly close-minded rap elitists are. You think the only options are Nas and Soulja Boy. Hey knucklehead - there's more to music than rap. The way you view Soula Boy is the way some people (myself included) view your Nas.

  • @VictimOfBoredom

Ok first of all Soulja boy is horrible. Name one song by soulja boy that can match the caliber of nas and then talk aite?

  • @Th3Graduate

    Oh.

    My.

    God.

You really ARE fucking retarded, aren't you?

I never said Soulja Boy was talented; I said that Nas's talent eclipses Soulja Boy's in the same manner that many OTHER music artists' talent eclipses Nas's.

The English language is a precious thing. Please learn it.

  • @VictimOfBoredom

Ok whatever man all im trying to say is nas is one of the best in the hip hop genre and I listen to wide variety of real hip hop.

  • @Th3Graduate

I never said he wasn't one of the best in the hip hop genre.

And I listen to a wide variety of *everything*.

  • @VictimOfBoredom

Aite bro lets forget this haha. But yeah I hate most shit on the radio cant stand it. dont mean I hate mainstream artists i love some of them like kanye but the new rappers suck

  • @VictimOfBoredom .......youre shitting on hip hop because you cant relate to it..."Nas's talent eclipses Soulja Boy's in the same manner that many OTHER music artists' talent eclipses Nas's."....youre ignorant you fuck....you look at hip hop like it isnt equal to other types of music....its all about people with problems getting away from their problems and jamming to good beats not listening to someone fucking sing fuck you pussy

  • @itsmeinthe603

    1. Singing is for pussies? Wow, that's rich.

    2. And I suppose listening to people rap about their problems ISN'T for pussies, huh?

    3. There's more to music than that with singing and that with rapping. Much of the music I listen to contains neither. Again, expand your mind just a LITTLE bit.

  • @VictimOfBoredom ..........im being very ignorant lol....but its only because you are talking like youre too good for nas and he is one of my favorite artists... be open minded because i find meaning in a lot of his lyrics and if you dont then it is what it is... i might not like your favorite tunes but i wouldnt go on the page and talk down to it basically saying all other musical artists "eclipse" their talent....u kno?

  • @itsmeinthe603 That's the same thing a fan of Soulja Boy could tell you. It's all relative.

  • @VictimOfBoredom

Your arguments rock man, even though i sometimes don't agree with them ; p

But you're like on of the few people on youtube who can argue in a normal way, without all the "ur retarded" kinda shit

No idea why, but i just wanted to say that XD

  • @Guidus125 Thanks. I appreciate it. :x

  • Both Nas and Amerie need deserve more credit than they recieve. I love this song.

  • amerie sexy ass on the chorus. amerie a slim dime

  • That's that man the call Mr. Nasir Jones.

  • "Yo, there's Asia, Africa, Europe, France, Japan

    Pakistan, America, Afghanistan"

    A little redundant there, Nas...

  • @VictimOfBoredom

not really, he's just explaining how there's different categories of countries, continents, races, and cultures ect. It's bound to get redundant if he's making a list of labels, I guess.

  • @VictimOfBoredom Dont gotta be a little prissy bitch about it. I thought it was cool hit fit all the continents of the world in a rhyme. Its not like it was totally off subject. Sometimes you just gotta look passed it and enjoy. I understand what your saying but if you dont have anything good to say dont say anything at all. After all your just another critic tryna come off as intellectual.

  • @VictimOfBoredom........

Ancient kings from Egypt, up to Julius Caeser

Had a piece of the globe, every continent

Yo, there's Asia, Africa, Europe, France, Japan

    Pakistan, America, Afghanstan

Yo, there's Protestants, Jews, Blacks, Arabics

Call a truce, world peace, stop actin like savages

.......There have been countries with all different types of races under one ruler and now they are all divided but we sould all remember that we are all people and we have a right to our opinions why go to war?

  • @VictimOfBoredom ........nas always has a point in what hes saying so if its a little redundant...which that wasnt.....but if it is.... it has a point so pay attention because the man is spitting knowledge, and if you cant handle it there is plenty of mindless music out there for u my friend..... but dont criticize his powerful message because you cant wrap your mind around it

  • @itsmeinthe603 Nas' music is more mindless than the majority of the music I listen to.

It's not hard to "wrap your mind around" such simplistic, trite messages. If only Nas was half as innovative or original as you seem to think he is, maybe *then* I'd give a rat's ass about his "knowledge" and "powerful message".

  • tru... "But what's it all worth, can't take it when you under this Earth Rich men died and tried, but none of it worked They just rob your grave, I'd rather be alive and paid Before my number's called, history's made Some'll fall, but I rise, thug or die Makin choices, that determine my future under the sky To rob steal or kill, I'm wondering why It's a dirty game, is any man worthy of fame? Much to success to ya, even if you wish me the opposite Sooner or later we'll all see who the prophet is"
  • @itsmeinthe603

    Criticizing materialism?!?!

    Wow, how original!!!

    [/sarcasm]

  • @VictimOfBoredom .........name rappers that have more meaning.....any......besides pac......hes top 3 rappers of all time no question....and you just said the radio has plenty of music better than nas sooooo.......you have to be fucking dumb

  • @itsmeinthe603

There's more to music than rap, dipshit.

And there *is* plenty of music on the radio better than Nas. KUSC plays it 24/7.

  • @VictimOfBoredom .........i listen to real rap because they are all underdogs who made it big which is what im in the process of doing....so no, for me theres not too much more to music than rap because i cant relate to the pussies who have been taking singing lessons since the age of 5 so they can grow up and make hits on the radio....fuck that shit.....real rap all day along with some old school rock, jimi hendrix, and bob marley....i cant believe you even brought up the radio youre an asshat.

  • @itsmeinthe603 Nas isn't an "underdog". He's a millionaire superstar. Plenty of "underdogs" make shitty rap - Soulja Boy was one of them. And no, you will never make it big like Nas.

    [cont]

  • @itsmeinthe603

    [cont]

The fact that the only alternative you can see to rap is "pussies who have been taking singing lessons since the age of 5 so they can grow up and make hits on the radio" shows just how utterly musically ignorant you are. I'm pretty sure Ástor Piazzolla, Sun Ra, L. Subramaniam, and Shiina Ringo all don't fit that bill. Not to mention Indonesian gamelan and traditional Romani music.

There's a whole world of music out there, but you're too blind to see it.

  • @VictimOfBoredom get a life....u don't have anything better to do than disrespect hip hop. shame on you...burn in hell u homo

  • "burn in hell u homo"

    Wow. Just wow.

  • @VictimOfBoredom haha

  • @VictimOfBoredom

you prob listen to radio and shit lol

listen to what hes trying to say you fuck

  • @JW2K3 I listen to one radio station, and that's 91.5 KUSC—look it up.

"listen to what hes trying to say"

Well, at least you admit he's trying—and not succeeding—to be insightful.

  • @VictimOfBoredom

lol theres no point in arguing with you.. you obv don't listen to Nas.

w/e man stick to kanye west runaway and lil wanye lollipop and shit...

  • @JW2K3 The music I listen to is 100X less mainstream than Nas will ever be, and by comparison makes Nas look like the lovechild of Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift. ;)

  • 11 mother fuckin faggots missed the like button...

  • @55dave44 hahahahahaha

  • 1 mother fuckin homophobic musical elitist made a comment...

  • best song ever from Nas!!!!!!!!

  • this song sounds tight with a sample from "everybody wants to rule the world" by tears for fears

  • and this countries a MOTHA FUCKA

  • Stillmatic one of my favourite albums

  • Best rapper of all time.

  • great song

  • also when hes talkin about blood and death, hes not saying go kill people, hes saying you cant be afraid of dying, you have to give life everything you got

  • also when hes talkin about blood and death, hes not saying go kill people, hes saying you cant be afraid of dying, you have to give life everything you got

  • this isn't Rule

  • @Tha4thLetterr yes it is

  • gotta love the tears for fears music in the background ...this songs great

  • Good song...But NAS IS A MORON...complete fucking idiot...he's fucked...his saying at the end just ruins what he was trying to say.

  • @sitherus411 .....that was an impersonation of somebody who wants to rule the world.

  • @sitherus411 wtf how are people agreeing with this... kid came from the streets and thats how life is on teh streets. his people are dying every day. all hes saying is you cant be a bitch and sit back and wait, you have to go out and get yours

  • @sitherus411 hes not a sellout like half the other fakes.. for example jay z

  • @sitherus411 Wow, you're an idiot... you know nothing about poetry

  • @sitherus411 Your a fucking idiot and I would curb stomp you in real life.

  • @sitherus411 How exactly did he ruin it?

  • @sitherus411 He is telling you is that black people and others need not always sit back when foolishness is being thrown towards them. Fight it smartly and aggressively. I am educated but not blind to the truth. Black people are not even represented on television, just coonic figures.

  • i danced to this song i luv it

  • WE SHOULD STOP HATING!!!!

  • @rustaboy23 no hate = no love

  • Nas be one da great rappers of all time!

  • this is a good song...it is awesome

  • In our time with the U.S. sending troops to fix shit,

and donating 100s of millions dollars to Haiti,

when wars in the hood still fuckin shit up,

and Katrina victims that still aint got homes

    this song came to mind.

"How can the president fix other problems when he ain't fixed home yet"

  • @AndrU369 i understand sending troops out to like afghanistan for nothing but run into a dead end street but Haiti is the poorest country on this side of the globe and for the united states to overlook them after being hit by a earthquake of that caliber would be cold hearted. i understand they slacked on katrina but haiti is at another level right now.

  • @illmatic129 yeah i see what you mean, i feel like what the government tends to do is lean towards what gives them, like you said, a boost in stats with the world. i think that there should be a different strategy when it comes to what we should deal with and what not to get involved in

  • @AndrU369 yeah you are right, but i still feel like they dont care about the hood, they slacked on katrina but for them the hood is like let them kill themselves why get involved. they do not try to implement programs to get people away from violence or anything. plus the corporate world promoting hip hop which damages the minds of the youth as well. shit is fucked up

  • wot a tune

  • 5/5!! Nas is da man. He raps about real problems.

  • tupac + michael jackson = nas lol.

  • Cool song. reminds me of

    changes by 2pac

    Nas, rocked the song.

  • This is one of the most underrated rap songs lyrically...the sample meshes so well with the drum and bass beat. Overall one of the best from Nas, in my opinion the best lyricist to ever live.

  • Nikehead 20 in reality Nas is the greatest lyricist in hiphop ever. Your mind is telling you the truth. Do let people tell you that a truth is opinion. Do you know why he is the greatest? Every song that people know of Nas has them drawing up list to include the favourite rapper and for some the favourite MC, for those two are different. Nasir Jones ensured that hiphop lives even though there is garbage today.

  • @NikeHead20

personal its my fav song from nas. like cuz it makes you think bout what your doin everyday.. like hes teaching bout humanity. theres is nothing wrong with sampling song... pple hate it (for instance lil wayne ruined a classic song SHE'S ON FIRE) but nas relived this song it was so well done for a hip hop song... and its basical the same concept as the original. One of my fav song ever and not sayin that because im on the page listening to it now its just saying it love the message

  • @NikeHead20 sorry rakim is

  • i love nas ilisten to this song everyday it's da shit he killed it stomped it then spitt on it and it became the best song i first heard this song on that movie honey amerie rocked it too!

  • this is a great reinvention of the original tears for fears version

  • nas is the best rapper of all, it's all I have to say

  • ......has a beautiful womans voice in a great rap song......he doesnt ignorantly put women down.......greatest of all time...... when did it become cool to put down our women.....i love women so i cant relate to BITCH HOE

  • yo if anybody here is frum Worcester,Mass you kno what i meen when i say anthem

  • the original song he uses is good but nas straight killed it

  • Is killed good?

  • lol yes, yes it is.

  • nas fucking killed it

  • If anybody datz ignorant about Hip-Hop, this is a true example of a MC

  • seriously i listen to this song at least like 3 to 4 day i love the way he flip it NAS YOU DA MANNN!!!!!

  • I thought this would be worse than it turned out to be...

  • Classic

  • for whatever reason i cant figure out......

THIS MAKES ME FKN FEEL PEACEFUL AND LIKE NOTHINGS WRONG!

Nas brings emotion out of his listeners....what a true MC to inspire you! Nas is best to me forever!

  • @ThumbsUpMike Thats what i feel, and finally i see that someone understands like i do. Thx man and peace out, have a wonderfull life.

  • jinkie poo. sorry had to throw this out there, i'm really happy right now!

  • call a truce world peace, stop acting like savages

  • I first heard it on cartoon network

    Hahahaha.

    x

  • they used this song for the Honey Soundtrack!!

  • no they didnt

  • I first heard this song in the movie "Like Mike" Song is nice son!!

  • Pretty cool song, was looking for another one but this one's pretty good too

  • this song is amazinggggggg

  • mto foda (Y'

  • This song is so sad. So true, but so so so sad.

  • did he remix the song "everybody wants to rule the world" by Tears for Fears??

  • He simply is the best there is ...........and he was so fucking right when he said , HIP HOP IS DEAD......we sick and tired of these bubble gum lyrics south shit!!!
