19myself91 several sources disagree that she would be 50 or over when starting a show, giving the next year. but covering all, a birth certificate surfaced proving 1922 is right. fact: her austrian-born mother had her at age 24
haha I love the part about actors turning into "god knows what, creatures from another planet" when they're trying to act funny... she's so dead on. If a performance isn't believable, it isn't remotely funny.
Bea You are truly a Great actor that opened doors for women. You weren't afraid to push the envelope. You are a classy broad. You will not be forgotten We will truly miss you. I still watch Golden Girls. :) love ya
I loved her as Dorothy! She always made me laugh and still does today when I watch The Golden Girls on DVD. Rest in peace, Bea, and don't forget we love you!
I loved Bea. She was so wonderful in Maude. And of course the Golden Girls. But I truely love Maude. I have then them on tape and still watch them. What a gem Bea was. I am going to miss here. May she rest in peace
