I don't think Nirvana ruined rock n roll music, its all those shitty bands that came after!! copied grunge which went on to become shite . here in the uk! a flipping 3 note guitar solo with no balls is seen as cool??????? WHAT HAPPENED
Summer of -90. Oh man what memories. I was 17, almost innocent. I had my band, my long hair, my dreams... yeah... "You know I'm a dreamer.... but my heart's of gold"
Anyone who caught The Quireboys live 89-93 will have often seen the Red Dogs playing with them. Footage has recently been rediscovered and is now on youtube. Do a search for "Red Dogs Working Late" to bring up the video for the single or "Red Dogs Super Channel" for two live tracks and small interview. Hope it brings back memories for some of you.
Just great time rock and roll. Always listen to these lads when I need a smile. Spike has one of my favorite voices. Its just amazing. And I am convinced he found the fountain of youth. Still hot as hell. :)
Saw these guys at the tiv 18/12/10 20-yrs on from their last visit which was still fresh in my mind. Shame the place was not sold out but still a great night with excellent support from the dan reed network. The Quireboys still rock.
Saw them in Glasgow last night -they were amazing!! They still have it and know how to rock a crowd. Plus Spike has barely aged a day, still has the bandanna and is swinging the mikestand like a 20 year old! Great band.
whish there wud b more nu bands like these gud old rock n roll theres only the stone gods n they r quite at the moment. Much better than the depressing grunge that was ruling in 90's
@PeaveyPV20 hi buddy if you believe it or not. on november 20. they are playing together with dan baird and the homemade sin in a little village in switzerland. and i got a ticket. this will get a party;-)))))
I saw them live in Glasgow a few weeks ago. They were really good, they look almost the same as this -havent really aged at all. Spike seemed to be really enjoying himself, a great showman and great at getting the crowd onside. The venue was packed (and this was an upgraded venue due to the demand).
I have seen Hundreds of bands and saw these a couple of times in Leeds and Bradford and they were truly awesome. Tickets cost me £3 at most! But I'd pay £30 to see them again.
Love those stars flickering in Spike's eyes. He truely looks like he is having the time of his life. One thing about the Quireboys, they are among the best dressed and best looking guys in rock music. Wish I could see them live sometime. :)
I love this song because remember me my youth.
