As much as I would like to agree with you andreaneilcmc, Joey Ramone loved old 50's and 60's pop music. he grew up with it and loved it his whole life. He basically wrote old pop but made it hard and fast and there's proof of that in many of there songs such as Howling at the Moon or It's Not My Place.

They revolutionized punk rock. Even some of the modern punk rock, you can still get that old 50's and 60's feeling. I call it punk but pop is there.
