Parkour: Getting from Point A to Point B in the quickest way possible without letting the obstacles slow you down. People who do this are called Traceur(Tracers)

Free Running: It's tougher than Parkour but it's a waste of time. All flashy movements, no fluid-like speed.. Just showing off.. People who do this worthless sport are caled Free Runners Or Urban Trackers..

in my opinion its just starting out low and building your skills techniques and stop getting so fearful then keep working up to larger stunts and stuff. im a free running person myself but i split my shin open and shattered some bones in a horribly failed jump from building to building...thats just my opinion on that you should do

That's why rooftop jumps and reckless stunts are so stupid. If done properly, you should rarely get injured except for freak accidents like slipping. But you should never do anything for the sake of showing off or doing a big stunt.

Out of my whole parkour "Career", I've only gotten hurt once when I forgot to check the safety of a rail before Reverse Vaulting it. And it was only a few scrapes from the rocks below the drop.
