Christina Aguilera has a different singing technique than any other singings, she has to push down her larynx to produce that big voice, so it should be hard for her to hit high notes.... (it's not just her, every singer will have hard time for high notes if they push their larynx) but i love her voice and she knows how to control her voice so i love it lol and other singers will never be able to sound like that, they are gonna go ouch my throat hurts so much.

@kgntndh actually she pulls her larynx far above its natural neutral position to produce super high mix belts. Her vocal chords are thicker because of her heavy voice which is why she cant belt above G#5 and anything above E5 is usually horribly strained.

as far as singing technique goes, christina pushes her larynx up and forward to produce a growling effect, but its strained because singing on a high larynx is already straining.

@malfoyrocks I don't agree with this statement. There's more to it than simply the pitch. The bridge contains many E5/F5s followed by an E5 belt. She might have been able to force out an F5 back when this was performed, but doing them in rapid succession is very difficult. It's harder to sing a high note in a certain vowel, just like what comes before or after a high note can make it more difficult.

How does she preserve her voice? Oversinging isn't a very effective way of preserving ones voice
