No sir, I didn't like it. There's too much "kitchen sink" in this one, obscuring the original excellence. Imagine the X-Files theme with wailing guitars and a big rock beat. Yuck.

Yeah, there is one. It's very fun and edgy. My favorite is still the season 1, 2, & 3 Murray Gold theme because that has more orchestral drama to it, but this is just a variation on that one which definitely fits the modernness of the new series. ^_^

Also there are bits of the original theme in it as well, bcause at 00:29 there's the bit out of Peter Davison's theme plus on the closing theme there's the tune from Sylvester McCoy's one aswell.

It was going to be changed eventually, I think it's as good as the last one. It's just more bass in it with a mix of some older themes near the end.

Besides, eventually it'll grow on you.

Hhhhmmmm - not convinced I have to say - sounds like the Pet Shop Boys have had a go at it!(not that I'm knocking them!). The 1970's initial Tom Baker theme and the one before this were far better. Anything is preferable to the Sylvester McCoy one though, which sounded like a cross between someone playing on a comb and an early Casio keyboard - truly AWFUL. So bring back the old theme - and Kylie! Also agree with JohnnyBoy - put the Doctors face back in the title sequence too!

Brilliant! It's a modern mix of the Hartnell/Troughton theme and also the Baker/Davidson 80's theme! Best theme tune in the new series so far!

I love this updated theme arrangement, but I just wish they'd put faces back into the title sequences. If they want companions to be credited, then put the companion faces in as well! That'll be something never done before.

this is the best theme tune of the series, bout time the old Eccelston opening theme was binned and tenant given his own, with hints of the 60s and even someone said to me a touch of the 80s thems (Baker Theme 2, Davison and BAker Theme 1)
