@TomMinderson Funny, I'm in the middle of searching for a harpsichord rendition. For me it depends heavily on the organ, more so than even the performer. Far too often, I find that the counterpoint is blurred and muddied on organ.

Bach's trio Sonata's are so severely demanding in skill, but give mere mortals like myself to aspire to learn at least one. I'm currently toiling through BWV 529. This one sounds wonderful too!

I find the tempo abit slow. This piece should be played slightly faster and it would be perfect, it's a "Vivace" afterall. But still a clear and fine version.

the tempo is acceptable, but i would prefer it to go a bit faster aswell :D

The problem with this interpretation is that it's not "vivace" enough. Still, can't really criticize Kay Johanssen. His other interpretations are superb.

@NimbleTurtle13 That's interesting! I happen to think he nails the "vivace"-spirit perfect in those tuplets. Any faster would be borderline allegro to me.

@johanjoejet I wasn't really talking about the tempo. I was talking about how it wasn't "lively" enough. It sounds a bit dead. Compare it to the version uploaded by smalin's version.

As one who tries to play this music, believe me, this is one VERY fine performance. But what of the composer? My mind just can't start to grasp the gift needed to write this. I've studied the score and it's mind-blowing. If this had been the only piece Bach had ever written it would surely have guaranteed his place in musical history. I now retire to bed feeling very humbled. Again, thank-you, toxiconegro. You give us the very finest. I hope we deserve it.
