People are still regurgitating the lie that we are fighting to protect freedom...The sad truth is the brainwashed are the majority. We could be in Afghanistan for 1000 years and we won't achieve a thing for the people there...We'll of course control the puppet government and control of Eurasia...How dare they tell us we're helping to spread peace and freedom...Fucking liars!

ring the soldiers back, n nuke the fuckers. 9/11 revenge. they won't be big n clever when the last thing they see is a flash of white light the fuckin murdering scum bags!!!!
love this song, these are illegal attacks, bring our fucking soldiers back. capitalism fuckn stinks, aint nothing democratic about war. thank fuck we got ian brown saying what we all thinking. time for a new member in parliament ian dont you think
You should be happy about living in a democracy which is why Ian is aloud to sing this!If he was in certain countries singing about the elite he would be be-headed in the street!Love the track though and the fact that he is not afraid to deal with a poltical subject!
The role of artists in a democracy is to say what they think. We have a culture so that we can have access to the insight of creative, intelligent people as they reflect back at us their view of what the world really is.
That said, all that saves this song from the trap of dogmatism is Ian Brown himself. His voice has the softest touch ever. And this video has a twist I didn't see coming. That's what makes it powerful.
Very powerful video. I always thought it would be more fitting to release 'So many soldiers' as a single to spearhead the anti-war movement, my favourite Ian Brown song. Ian, it's up to you to enlighten the UK with a song about the NWO, it's shady network of global politicians which includes our very own Gordon Brown and the scum of the global elite. 9/11 and 7/7 WERE BOTH INSIDE JOBS....WAKE UP PEOPLE ARE MINDS OUR BEING MANUIPULATED BY THE MURDOCH MEDIA! peace.
i think we fit in well with the animaal world. the mammals cull eachother when their numbers are too many. every year the only certain thing the antelope do is run off the edge of a cliff en mass. the only certain thing humans will do is kill another race close to thier own. everywher on earth close factions or ethnic groups are fighting eachother, its our pri morial instinct to destroy ourselvs. the great cull
I'm firmly in Ian Browns corner when he says that more artists/bands should speak out against the war, corrupt foreign policy and dirty deed politicians.
For all that could have been achieved in Iraq and Afghanistan (rebuilding them as modern, stable countries) so little has been gained by the Iraqi/Afghan people.

good try, but unless your the president of the US this isn't solving much. for all your know this Ian guy is just making money off this cause he sees theres alot of people out there that aren't for the war. So all hes got to do is make songs that against the war and hes guaranteed to have fans...
Maybe you're not familiar with Ian Brown. He's never done anything for cheap popularity. If you've ever read any of his recent interviews, he's very much into social justice. Current anti-war songs are few and far between, especially from legends like Brown, so this isn't a popularity move, far from it.
Besides all that, it makes a change to see artists singing about issues that actually matter. Big name artists like Ian Brown and Sinead O'Connor will always add weight to an issue. Protest songs raise awareness and make people think, and there is so much political apathy out there, music is an ideal medium.
I hope he does make money for this single. He is sending a wonderful message in an elequent and lyrically thought out song. It better than hearing "Aboot in your ass" or "God bless America cause at least I know its free" which produce only dalse realisms. Those are the people who should be be ashamed of making money on this war along with Bush, Cheney, Blair and all of the corporate vampires that they work for.
God! it's too damn powerfullll! it gave me goose bumps! thanx a zillion for such a great art in terms of the song itself, and the video directing! THUMBSUP!
bush and cheaney get paid, for the things they arrange,at the end of the day its just so much looechange, and the public are made, to believe what is played, day after day on the tv sharade, tho the storys they say, keep on fallin away, and the FEMA cage keeps on closin each day, maybe clinton gets laid, the new world order is made, false war takes the money while kids die from aids, are you not afraid?haliburton gets paid,..... but only so many soldiers come home
