  • Damn, this looks awesome. I might have to pick up a DS now. It's probably the best platform for me to try relive all my favorite SNES experiences.

  • I love the visual style of this game, and the series as a whole. It's such a shame Publishers seem adamant that the West isn't ready for such a style, despite the 4 or 5 titles that have already made it to the US and Europe.

Thank god we still got Okami, Okamiden, and Muramasa still.

  • Thumbs up if you want a Goemon game for the Nintendo 3DS.... TRANSLATED, of course! =D

  • would be fuckin awesome if there were a wii version of this + multiplayer

  • When the hell was this realeased!?

  • Fuck Konami, as my Nihongo prowess increases by day, I'll soon play games like this with no problem! Konami can choke on my dick, now it's time for my favorite hobby!

  • I love ... no i fucking love the music in the DS version ;w; ....

  • Only released in Japan? Damn you, Konami!!

  • @EmilTheFallen Seriously...

  • is this game's controls touch-screen only?

  • T_T We need more Goemon!!!!

  • holy crap it's like sonic chronicles the dark brotherhood

  • @spikeharusame hahaha Thats what I was thinking

  • Wheres Sasuke? I want to see Sasuke!

  • kinda reminds me of a bad ass version of qbert

  • Why didn't this game come out in America?

  • very nice, but one very big problem there, you cant just replace what are supposed to be 3D levels with 2D ones it just screws everything and its very conffusing, i can barely tell the depth of the levels, and how far i'm from the item.

soma bringer for the ds for example, it has the same problem but there is a difference, soma is not a game where you have to jump trough obstacles you just kill everything so is not so fuckd up

i loved the mistical ninjas for N64, but this one sucks

  • Mystical Ninja for SNES didn't really require any dialogue or any understanding of the dialogue to enjoy the basic gameplay. Do you think this game is similar in that respect?

  • @purvicide I found a really good guide on GameFAQs that says that if you've played other Goemon games and generally know how the games work, what the items do and so on, you should be fine. I ordered a copy from eBay a few days ago, so we'll see...

  • Past period or futuristic 2nd generation spin-off, comedic or serious, all Goemon games rule. This one is no exception. Anywho, only importers or emulator users can enjoy this game and it's worth it that's for sure. Tis a shame that Western companies considred most of the games to be too Japanese for the West to handle, thus allwoing us to only get 1 SNES and 2 N64 games. Oh well, that's life.

  • @purpleblizzard Don't forget about "Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon" on the Game Boy! I never played it, but Nintendo Power spent like three months doing a walkthrough of that game. =)

  • @neoregulus777 Hmm, never heard or played the Gameboy one. Thanks for the heads up. I'll go check it out now.

  • can anyone tell me what all Goemon games had co-op play? and did any of these support more than 2 players at a time? thanks

  • I'm glad Koonami decided to give up on that whole 'futuristic goemon' idea.

This is more like it =)

  • Aww, I hope it comes to North America

Can you only play as Goemon in the game?

  • Is there quicksave?

  • I love Goemon games. And I love all the sound effects that they re-used from the older games for this one.

Oh Konami, why must you limit this franchise to Japan? ):

  • Has this game already been released? I loved Goemon's games on N64. Will Ebisumaru, Yae and Sasuke be in this game too?

  • Which Goemon is this?

  • I used to play this on the MSX:)

  • Great series I remember seeing a old preview for Mystical ninja 2 for SNES. Sadly it never came out! Goemon is a great series that could be enjoyed by the U.S. despite its STRONG JAPANESE roots the gameplay is great!

  • Memorable gameplay, great music, interesting characters and good locations. That's what I know from the N64 version of Mystical Ninja, I had no idea that there was a DS version. Any guesses it didn't get a world wide release. It's definitely deserving of one.

  • is it out in america?

  • it only in japan like the rest of the other games besides the snes and the 2 n64 games

  • lol thx but i figured that. i bought one on ebay^^

  • wich game

  • ds^^

  • is it in english (soz if it spelled wrong)

  • its spelled right ^^

and no, it was still in japanese. i can read but i cant read kanji DX

  • thats ok i trying to understand japanise

  • i had this on n64 a long time ago i loved it.

  • As a snes version fan, I recently try this game and I'm blocked at the spot of the end of this trailer . Don't know what to do with this huge block

  • I loved Mystical Ninja for the SNES! I want an English version of this game!

  • i remember this music from the snes game. :D

  • I hope every one like n64 version as much as i did...

  • Yes, definitely~!

  • of coure *every month play mystical ninja staring goemon* ^^

  • @TorqueSmacky13 I loved the SNES version. Haven't played the N64 one.

  • @sw0rd0fadvers1ty dude PLAY IT! its such a great experience and its completely different

  • @TorqueSmacky13 I think I still have an N64 sitting around somewhere so I might have to pick up a cheap copy of that game...

  • I love goemon (mystical ninja) games! N64 goemon was very cool and old school. This one is a exelent sequel in my opinion, it's a shame I can't understand japanese very well...

  • damn this was the shit when i was a kid when great adventure came out for the n64 day the good old days

  • Just played Mystical ninja for n64 and sequel.

Was wondering what happened to the series, a fave of mine since i was a kid :]

  • The company that released the games in the US went under, but one installment was released on Virtual Console.

  • 3/4 overhead view sucks and has always sucked. Why Konami? Why? Just look at Bill & Ted's excellent adventure for the NES for proof.

  • why in the world would overhead view suck? Its better than having camera troubles (like what Konami has had in the past) so its so much simpler to have one straight overhead view that allows you to see around the character. Plus, just look at the levels, they are all drawn out in one simple way so that it vaguely reminds you of the original mystical ninja game on the snes (which technically had an overhead view and is still considered as one of the best games of all time).

  • Yae est la meilleure!!

  • Awesome <3

  • BEST Game! Ganbare Goemons Games 4 EVER>!!

  • yay!

    i finally imported it!

really fun, even though everything's in Japanese.

  • well im considering ordering konamis bet version should I?

  • I loved the Goemon game on the N64 in 1999.

  • MYSTICAL NINJA! That was my favorite game of all time on 64! I had forgotten about it until now!

  • So r u happy now that u have remembered it?

  • Hell yeah I'm happy! I'm so happy I got massive wood!

  • Sort of reminds me of Okami (?). Is that right?

  • I like how the sound effects hasn't changed over the years :D

  • Konami just can't release this in Europe and America, can they.... ;_:

  • I agree, but it's too bad goemon is'nt really popular here in the U.S anymore, because these days gaming companies are focusing on they're other franchises these days, but Yes,I would love to see a new Goemon game here in america by Konami, but however, these days, the Izuna franchise from Ninja studio/Atlus is the new popular japanese fad thats getting the attention these days which they just recently released Izuna 2.

  • these days

  • it still has the same classic sounds and every thing also does anyone know if it was released in america or europe

  • are you retarded? those are just about as good as the N64 version

  • This game looks so good! Please release it for America! And please release a Ganbare Goemon game for the Wii!

  • I second that, specialy the Wii part, I have one

  • Lets just w8 on the gaovernment to bring this game...its going to be a long time cause the only goemon games ive seen was for n64 and that was a long time and why would they bring it here cause ppl would think wtf Goemon and shi* like that... but i still remember EBISUMARU ROXS

  • WOW! I'm gonna import this game as soon as possible! GABARE!

  • i wish this would come to the U.S.

why did they stop brining mystical ninja to the U.S?

  • Is this game coming to America at all..? :( I hate how the best games never come here Dx *has been a Goemon game fan since she was probably 8 or 9, had both Mystical Ninja and Great Adventure*

  • The graphics in this look fantastic!

I really hope a Goemon Wii game is made- and that if it is, it's available translated!

  • this game was great but it is SOOOOOO SHORT!!!!

  • yur a dumbass

  • oh and this game looks maddo!

  • Jabba, maybe you mean you hate George Bush. Just saying so don't go crazy.

  • Amrica! FUCK YEAH!

  • The American government sucks... That's no secret but... What government doesn't?

People put their own first... That's life and it's damned unfair.

But that's not the problem. The problem is that people go running their mouths on something they don't understand. Just like you.

You have no idea what America is... But since everyone hates it you want to hate it as well... Life is so unfair...

  • So wat your saying is humans suck?

    If so I second that!

  • More Goemon games have to come to American!

  • yeah mystical ninja on ds

  • goemon 2 on snes easily the best

  • I really liked all the Goemon games I played (the two on N64) and I got really excited for this one when it was announced. Why have you forsaken us, Konami?

  • im going to import this game. its my favorite frachise next to mario zelda and halo

  • WHY DONT I OWN THIS??

  • This game is never gonna come out in NA? Well that sucks.. But I still have the N64 at least.

  • So, is this whole game played only with the stylus?

  • This goemon version is much better. Id prefer this one over the so called new ps2 version. in fact, this one is slightly better with all the new features. Although i like the n64 ones better but htis one has potential.

    anyways good job.

  • O_O i must get a DS now lol

  • is impact the robot

  • yes, impact is the robot

i want this game so bad

  • It came out already, but it was only released in Japan. So far as I know, Konami has no intention of releasing it elsewhere. Surely it'd already have arrived if such were the case =/

  • @Hexrapper Guess the Goemon series ended in America along with the N64 generation. Pity. It was one of my faves for that consul. :/

  • @Hexrapper It's like Ganbare Goemon 2,3 and 4 for the SNES. Those games weren't released outside Japan as well :/

  • konami isn't making anymore outside of japan cause it's not popular enough.

  • when does it come out

  • the n64 version is so much better

  • agreed. But does anyone know if theres gonna be a wii game?

  • Can you import Goemon DS somewhere with english text? I really would like to undertstand what Im playing. :(

Grrr, it was on top of my most wanted games list, and now its not going to be released here in Europe, and I´m not gonna understand anything im playing..

  • I bought the Japanese version and it's actually pretty intuitive. I haven't gotten stuck yet and I'm about an hour in. It's worth it :)

  • is this out yet

  • the funnest shit since mario

  • de donde mierda me lo bajo!!! venderia mi alma por ese juego QUE BUENA MUSIKA!!!!!!!!!!!

  • HAPPY HAPPY JAPAN TOWN MUSIC

  • I hope this comes out in America. I love playing Mystical Ninja on my SNES.

  • There are no plans for an american release. You jave to import it. I own the Japanese copy.

  • Oh, crap.

  • I guess I hope so too.

  • Now that Konami launched the yugioh! card of Goemon, I hope they dedice to bring their games to america.

  • I got the "Lady Ninja Yae" card too.

    Goemon needs more popularity here...

  • REALLY!!! sasuke samurai was like one of my favorite cards and i thought that he was like from mystical ninja. of course i didnt think he really was...

  • well yes and no, because sasuke is a legend in japanese history well i know more about goemon he was like a robin hood of japan hahaha

  • It'll be cool if he appears in brawl

  • has you can see, on my profile name, i'm a big goe..fan, for a long time goemon DS was close to be rales,, here in US, core's it was going to be call, mystical ninja DS, and it never , well you no ?

  • man im playing this, and i must say its one the best ds games i played.

I feel totally frustrated that it ll never reach western shores. It´s a big shame.

  • Thank You, Hexrapper!!

  • Finally Goemon went back to his roots and we're never going to play it. Such a shame >.< anyway, this one looks and sounds awesome.

  • Ebay! besides, you can just button mash through conversations until you trigger events. Hasn't stopped me from getting it, the art style alone is worth it!

  • Or you could purchase it at PLAY ASIA.

  • ...will it ever come out in the US?

  • It seems unlikely, since the last 3 attempts at bringing the Ganbare Goemon series to America have been met with mixed results.

  • Ohh man,it's so nostalgic,I've played the N64 goemon game and I loved the music and all,his game looks very nice.

  • whats up

    i 100% agree with u

  • Yeahh,Sometime I get this game.

  • dis game looks comfusing

  • This looks good. When is it coming out to the U.S.?

  • never if you dont already know...

  • Konami tried giving westerners a taste of the Goemon series a few times in the past but no one bought outside of Japan bought those games. I really doubr Konami will give worldwide releases of Goemon games again.

  • Goemon needs more love. This game is fun.

  • eww... isometric view... not so good.

  • Eh, I heard that you can switch between a side view or a fixed isometric view.

  • I really need to import this game.

  • *reports*

  • Wow, what a douchebag. Anyways, graphics look great, music is so wonderful and familiar. Must... import... So many great DS imports, geez. :/ Jump Superstars, Ouendan, now this.

  • loll the graphic are nice and the village music is still here

  • AR GHH AT THE END OF VIDEO I THINK YOU USE THE CHAIN PIPE THINGI

  • well even if not i didnt see it thanks assface

  • Is it out already? Im thinking of getting it even if its in JP i got the snes version when it came out from japan and had no probs with it,,,

Im just wondering if this one would be the same to understand?

KONAMI wake up and make an english version!

  • Konami Of america Better knot screw us Good Video.

  • I liked the nintendo 64 version it was so halarious and the gameplay was so cool.. (PS I dont care about graphics as long its good =P)

  • It also has one huge problem in that, they don`t show the fact its dual screen,so the dialogue screen is lost when chatting to the guy in the village..urh this game needs to be released in english it ain`t fair.

  • Too bAd Goemon is'nt Well Popular here in the U.S, which is a darn shame, and chances are that this game will never make it to the states,Since Goemon is'nt Popular here anymore.

  • WHAT!?

I just found out about this game from this movie... My hopes have been raised and dashed in the blink of an eye :'(

  • This is a FANTASTIC title and my favourite DS game...but this video isn't going to convince anyone to buy it. If anything it will turn them away, since the person playing the game has no ****ing clue on what the hell they are doing.
