  • cool video...i am out here in Calif but one of these days i am going to try out hatteras.

  • I love the Outer Banks. Some of that looks like the Wind Over Waves development in Salvo.

  • COOL! :D

  • 't is wel geen hydrofoil; maar wel lekkere muziek

  • YEAH! CARBON ART NEW ZEALAND

  • that flat water looks sooo much fun for blasting, 6.3 cambered with glassy water like that!!!!!

  • hot damn! I'm dyin to hit Hatteras *jealous* what were you guys rigging?

  • @northernlight27

A trip to Hatteras requires everything you own!

After 25 years, I've learned to bring it all, including several "no wind" activities.

We were skunked for 8 straight days this year.... but the SUPing and volleyball were a blast. Check out my more recent videos. This rig is a 6.3, race sail, for sound-side blasting only, (as there were no waves that week).

  • Were you in the Pamlico Sound or the Albemarle Sound or neither? Nice vid.

  • Pamlico Sound off Island Creek in Avon.

Sounds like you've been there, done that...

Check out my more recent vids for HD action.

  • @discgolf4 Nah, i've just been to Hatteras a few times. I've thought about Windsurfing, just not sure if i would be any good. Okay, will do.

  • this looks like so much fun

  • WINDSURFING ÜBER ALLES

  • i like the stars on your boom :P

  • nice;p

  • Nice vid dude!

  • WoooHooou :) Cool videoshooting !!!

  • Great job!

  • YouTube pulled all my videos due to copyright infringments... my background music! Bob Marley is history... too bad.

  • cool video, bob's jammin really did it for me

  • Your video is just right. I use an Olympus waterproof mounted to my helmet with a can opener...honest!

  • Great video!!

  • Kia ora! i see you like quality! nice board! James does it again, ha?! cheers, bru

  • 30 years on the water... never been on anything so well designed. Fast and smooth.

GPS of 42 mph on this CA 98 ltrs, in very rough water. Sweet! Hope to find a smaller one soon.

  • looks great..........

can you remember which video format settings you used when editing

i have some nice footage but when its uploaded to you tube it turns to pooooo.......

  • I edited the video using a cheap app called Ulead VideoStudio 6. The file was converted into MPEG 2 (720 x 480) at 30 fps. Of all the options in VideoStudio, this seemed to work best for YouTube requirements.

The real issue is reducing the motion caused by camera shake. I'm looking into software for "Steady Shot" type performance. Optical or Digital Image stabilizers. Very Pricey!

Good Luck, let me know how you do.

  • YOu might be able to use a mini steady-cam solution.

  • yes great quality, im happy u know how to film this some ppl put zoom on the cam and its looks bad , thanks for this video this is like my favorite sport, and there is no way in hell i can do it living 1000 km away from coast

  • Very nice perspective. Realistic, that's how it is. Reminds me of Bird Island Basin in Corpus.

  • Good quality i think you are using wide angle lens. What cam did you use? an atc 2k? I'm thinking about buying one of these.

  • Thanks for making me winsurfing on my desk! that the way I love it, a zen meditative full speed cruising!

  • I recently inherited a sailboard and want to go on it, but there's a catch. It doesnt have a fin thingy on the back (not the swing keel) and i think you need one. Do you know where i might find one and how much it'll cost?

  • This one was shot with a Viosport set-up.

I had troubles with the Lanc and the Microphone and

I've since switched to a more water-tight kit.

  • great video.!!!.. which camera are you using?

  • Wonderful! Those conditions, I especially like the flatwater + constant wind combo.

Dream spot for meditative cruising :)

  • shaWEET! I sure hope it blows tomorrow, today was 10-30, ratz.

  • Warm winds a blowin' down there... we had 3 days over 30 mph and two more over 25 last week. Out of the North...Ouch!

  • fantastic stuff guys, great sense of being out there!

  • how do those things go so fast?

  • Hey dude! Same Boom! - Nice Video!
