Try raising two kids alone, on 12000 a year, for 16 years - working 2 jobs, in CA, while going to college full-time, to earn a BSIT degree at 3.64 with perfect attendance. And not getting hired because you are not fluent in a foreign language. And still smiling and helping others. Then talk about responsibility to me.
Blah, blah, blah. I raised my daughter alone on a state trooper salary and still managed to finish my degree a few years ago. My daughter is going to UCLA (I'm paying for it) and I own a home and have a substantial savings.
I had to give up getting my masters and joining the FBI. I had to may sacrifices to have a savings account. I can only scratch my head at people that think their credit cards are a "back up plan". It in my mind, is the plan of a child not an adult.
