I have a Walkera 36, as does a friend of mine. I stripped the electronics out of both, and set up with brushless, and aftermarket proper RC gear. With this set up they are smooth to fly, easy to set up, and behave great! A realy good heli, just upgrade the electronics! Some vids of mine are on Utube. Search for Walkera 36 brushless part 2. And Walkera 36 brushless. Mine is the orange to yellow fade paint job.

this happened to me i was at first flight on my trampoline and it was at a nice height when the controller just conked out and it started to move backwards slowly towards the edge of the cover so i turned my controller off and on and nothing happened! so then the back of the landing feet looped under it and it started to speed up then it broke free back flipped and destroyed itself-great machine-piece of S***

this happened to me as well. but it was cause of the transmitter. too cheap. rotor head has been found 2 meters further than the heli. now i'm flying on logo 10, awesome, electric rules :D

This particular time it seemed to be a faulty motor that was drawing too much from the battery causing the connecting wires to get REALLY hot and they disconnected. The battery was also puffy and hot.

Haha, I know what you mean. That's why you get her flyin, and you tape it.  I'm gonna try that, I'll tell you how that goes. On another note, I just ordered a complete crash kit from nitroplanes. Body, canopy, 4 servos, main shaft, transverse shaft, flybar, blades, skid, screwset, 2200mAh, main blade holders, and main rotor head. I think that's it.

Good to hear! Ya, my stock wires/JST plug was just too small for the brushless. Need a T-plug and low gauge wire. Any more videos of you flying? You're pretty good, should post some more.

Dude that sucks man. Do you think it's the battery? Or could it be your radio; is your antenna out on a boom? There's a mount on the skids for you to put an antenna tube.

It turned out to be the motor! It was drawing too much current and so the battery and cables were getting very hot. So hot that the plastic clips that clip the battery cable to the heli melted and seperated. I replaced the battery and the motor and changed the connectors to Deans and all has been fine ever since.

The cartridge should last 3 mins. I actually re-used the rest of that one on my next flight and got another 2 mins from it.

Yeh, dodgy connection with the battery. Bit like it was that day in MK. I should really have known better. A few replacement parts and a new skid needed and I'm flying again! It survived.
