I dont think metallica is gay at all, Im a fan of both Metallica and Testament and they are both awesome. I think people like you hate on metallica just because they are one of the most famous metal bands around but if you actually take the time to listen to they're songs, you will realize that they are actually a really good thrash band. The big four is a term purely used to describe the four most commercially succesful thrash bands. It has nothing to do with quality; although all four of the big four are great.
I'm fairly new to Testament, and they're becoming one of my favorite thrash bands. Chuck is a great vocalist, and Alex has killer solos.

@6969Jimz6969 I've nenver heard a band called Iced Earth, i only counted bands that are good even today, not like metallica who turned mainstream pop in the 90's. Never liked Sepultura, and Atxhrax is just too much hard rock/ heavy metal/pop/ rock.

@wakeXupXdead Trivium is like another Bullet For My Valentine, they are trying so hard to be metal and they push it wayy over the edge. The only album I would ever listen to by them is The Crusade, other than that, they have crappy albums. And Bullet For My Valentine is gay, I used to listen to them when I was 12 but then I got into thrash and threw my CD in the back of my closet and said Sianara. They always talk about the same thing which is break-ups, come on now! bunch of pussies

Trivium definitely is - and here's the thing you people need to learn: just because you don't like a certain thrash metal band, your dislike doesn't mean they're not thrash metal. Even if a thrash metal band sucks, they're still thrash metal because that's what they're shooting for.
Oh, and Metallica became the biggest poseurs in the metal world after 1990, and have remained so ever since. They have become a disgrace and a waste.
