Snake is not legendary, if you ever played the metal gear games then you would notice that the game does not really need him, and it could have been any character and unlike snake, Raiden actually represents something which is how people will eventually depend on machines to live.

Also stating that he is legendary makes him more surreal.

Snake has no meaning whatsoever, he can't even be applied to anything.

2: They dub the actor with David Hayter's voice

3: They animate it with David Hayter as a voice actor

2.) Agree 100%. With that being said, a movie would absolutely KILL the Metal Gear franchise. The only way I could see something like that working would be to make a CG movie along the same lines as Final Fantasy or something like that and have the same voice actors reprise their roles. I've always been at odds with games to movies. I think video games (especially MGS) is a stand alone medium and should be left alone.
