I bought at scooter from these guys and it showed up with a speedometer that doesn't work, a seat latch which doesn't work. The first response I got when I called their service department was to just try reconnecting the speedometer and then to just "pull harder" on the latch. Needless to say, this advice was useless. Now they won't even return my email inquires. DO NOT do business with these people, they are not honest.
I have a sym vs 160, basically modified 125. It has 2 brothers pipe sanded back and painted atomic green, holden sports ute/commodore green. gold forks and black rims. Just reconfigured it today to run properly, been stuttering and low speed for months till i managed to retune carb properly. The storage is fantastic on the scooter. i got new michelen tyre i believe they are. the rear is same as stock profile but the front is bigger, clears mudgaurd by millimetres. The profile is different.
Wow, that CPI seems .... pointless. A brilliant combination of a scooter's puny motor coupled with a sportbike's complete lack of storage. But hey, at least it has fake carbon fiber, right? =P
The Beewee lol I have to admit I didn't buy one based solely on the name and the weird way it looks. What was Yamaha thinking when they picked that stupid name?
One year later, we still love the Sym. FANTASTIC storage, and I can get it up to 100kph. I really enjoy riding it when I get home. The wife rides it regularly.
Access to the engine - Battery is difficult though from my experience. My only gripe. Ride safe mate.
from whateverone told me never buy a chinese scooter a lot of them are just not put together too well. There's a popular brand in NZ and they come in a box you assemble yourself and that kind of gives me a bad feeling alone
What he said about the Yamaha Cygnus's underseat storage is inaccurate. It easy fits a full face helmet, mine is a Shark size XL and it fit in fine, I've put about 4 different helmets in during it's lifetime and none of them had any trouble. Cygnus FTW!
Im a 5'3 female and I have a full face helmet and I actually dont have a big head...I find that myhelmet (full face) fits in very awkwardly. I can close it but just and it takes a lot of positioning with ther helmet to make the seat latch
Enjoyed the battle of the best Mid Size scooters you can get onto, in the furthest place from anywhere on this planet. Professional production, witty and informative. The scooter riding positions on show gave me a clue or two too. Your website added heaps more to this. Thanks guys But alas in The second furthest place from anywhere, the SYM VS is a 125cc, same everything else so we bought a Cygnus look alike, not ride alike though, a Daelim S1.
Yep, we're doing a maxi scooter comparison test in Feb/March 09. We've already done a 50cc comparison which is on the site. Also we start our WebTV show 'Ride' in about 10 days. So stay tuned.
Where is the yamaha aerox and the gilera runner?

One should be cautious to remove their Vietnamese family before riding due to the heat of sitting directly over the motor. ;)

No Vespa? No PGO? No Derbi? No LML? No Honda? Wow... pretty much a failure when you don't include the ACTUAL major players in the market.

also the fact that you cant ride over a 125 in the UK, means the 150cc and the 180cc bikes dont count in the UK, so yamaha is the best
