*Names with "?", I'm not quite sure about, like Johnny (12?), his friend (17?).

I was way too young when my mother drove me crazy watching this all the time! lol. But I almost knew who everybody was then and thought I'd take a stab at it. :)

  • @MystroMusicMan I didn't even think to check the listing for names! LOL! Missed a few but got most. Guess it would have helped if I was old enough to be interested in the show then. Oh well, it was fun! :)

  • Oh those late 80's early 90's hairstyles and clothes crack me up. Gosh I lived in those days.

  • This was the best version of the theme. :)

  • Blair was singing this theme at the beginning of todays episode!

  • @Y2Jin99 That was a great treat. It would be nice if they did that because they are teasing us about a refreshed opening using that theme!

  • @Y2Jin99 Who's the lady at 0:20?

  • @Suspiria10 Looks like Karen Witter . She played Tina from 1990-1994.

  • @Y2Jin99 Thank You, I thought it might be. Wasn't she a former Playboy model, I believe?

I prefer the original Tina the best.

  • @Suspiria10 Miss March 1983

  • @Suspiria10 That's Tina Lord

If I'm correct, there are 3 "Tina"s and this particular actress is the 2nd to play the character. The 1st, being the Redhead & Blue Eyed beauty Andrea Evans.

  • @MystroMusicMan Wasn't she a former Playboy Playmate I thought, not the Andrea Evans one? I still Andrea Evans was the best Tina

  • @Suspiria10 I think she was a Playmate. A few of them that acted on OLTL were models and playmates, I remember hearing. They used to say Soaps were a model's haven when they wanted to break into acting. lol.

I was way too young back then but I LOVED Andrea, and Fiona too! :)

  • @MystroMusicMan Its a shame that OLTL went down hill its final years especially the last decade. I loved the show back in the 70's and 80's and some early 90's.

  • @Suspiria10 I wasn't even though about in the 70's lol. I only know what I know from the 80's because my mother was such a fanatic. I saw it off-and-on when I did watch. The early 90's 91-94 was probably my favorite time watching. The 2000's. somewhat. but yes, it did go downhill. I felt the storylines were rather dumb with all the time-traveling and the whole back-from-the-dead stunts, etc. Even though I'd still peek in from time-to-time.

  • @MystroMusicMan I agree, I hated the 2000's with all the coming back from the dead, face changes and the whole Mitchel Lawrence got old and let's not forget the whole baby switch thing.....Soaps back in the days were really good

  • gabrielle lookin hot!!!

  • @magnetic77 I agree! I love Gabrielle!

  • Julia Medina @ 00:24 lookz like a witch, there. But it'z a totalli different appearance frm the type of person she was in the show. She kinda lookd like Blair, too.

  • Who is that woman @ [[00:24]]

  • Julia Medina followed by Dorian Lord

  • @whitbyterry Oh yeah, isn't this when Dixie Carter played Dorian?

  • @MystroMusicMan I don't recall that unless it was a one day substitute.

  • @whitbyterry I'm not sure for how long, but I just realized it is her. I just looked at a photo from "Designing Women".

  • Dixie Carter? When she would have been on Designing Women? On CBS? You must be dreaming.

  • @VaultMasterDBT Fail. Obviously she 'temped' as "Dorian" because Robin played the role again. People have done soaps and even filmed MOVIES during the same period. The actor who played "Todd" acted on both One Life To Live and a prime-time show at the same time for a little while. Really. lol.

  • Do not demean me with that insipid use of the word 'fail'. I never did imply being unaware that actors have done primetime roles concurrent with daytime roles. You're missing the point that Dixie Carter was under contract to a different network at the time. I was unaware that she ever played Dorian Lord as a temp. If so, it must have been heavliy promoted. I can understand if Dixie appeared in a one-time shot, but it would have been impossible for her to do longer on OLTL, given the obvious.

  • @VaultMasterDBT So, when I'm told "You must be dreaming". I was to simply just 'turn the other cheek' because I had no right to a rebuttal. Understood, your highness.

Yes, Dixie has played "Dorian" for a short time. Some cases, it does matter due to networks insisting on actors working exclusively with them. But she did so, there you have it.

  • OK, we need to break this down, because clearly you're taking my dry text as being fortright and pretentious, when it wasn't to begin with. For that misunderstanding, I am sorry.

Dixie Carter filled in for Nancy Pinkerton as Dorian in the early 1970s. Therefore, it is correct to have doubt over Dixie having appeared on OLTL circa 1990, when she was in the midst of a primetime role on a competing network (CBS). When primetime stars stop by daytime soaps, it usually occurs on the same network.

  • @VaultMasterDBT It's no big deal, just playing around.

I really can't say much about how long Dixie played Dorian except during a specific period including this one because, I never kept up with her. It could have been for a day, like a poster had said earlier, or longer. I do understand why it's doubtful. Who knows how or why since I have no idea of the stipulations of her contract with CBS.

  • If I remember correctly, she was Gabrielle's mother, who ended up going to prison for some reason.

  • @elawton1980 Wasn't she married to Max's brother at one time as well?

  • I wish they would bring back this theme song, it was the best one of them all! Please upload clips of Michael Palance who played Dr. Danny Wolek, he was such a hottie!

  • seems like the singer of this theme song did other theme songs for ABC in the 80s too

  • Oh, my gosh does this bring back memories! This was back when I used to watch the entire lineup of ABC soaps- Loving all the way up through GH. That was the BEST soap opera summer...
