  • hey how old r u im 15 and preg im 6 months old of pregnancy and i feel very weird :P

  • He's beautiful!

  • Do u think you'll send him to public or private school?

  • Aww he's so cute.

i've been thinking about becoming a mom but the whole thing scars me

but after watching you i feel like i might be able to do it.

was labor and birth really as bad as everyone says it it..obviously i know there is pain involved but is it worse during pushing or contractions?

  • @nikkiraquelle I thought pushing was worse because I hadn't slept in 24 hours so I wasn't giving it the strength it required. Contractions at first were HORRIBLE, but I got an epidural, so I didn't have to deal with the worst of them. If i can do it, you can do it!!

  • dont drink coffee and breast feed cuz it will go to ur baby through ur milk so he wouldnt sleep and be tense as well , that goes also with pepsi

  • Love all your videos. I watch them sometimes if I've already seen them just to stay awake between feedings with my 5 week old lol. Carters sooo cute. Keep em coming.

  • You and I have a ton in common..or atleast it seems from watching your videos. I followed you while you were pregnant because I was pregnant too. My daughter is now 10 weeks old so I guess that makes her 2 months old..not sure how that works exactly. I read big kid books too. I have this book called The Encyclopedia of World History, it has fun pictures and facts. It's a small book though perfect for little ones. I worry about all the things to come too.

  • Your such a sweet person, your baby is beautiful and lucky to have such a good mom!

  • He's favorite toy is my daughter's least fav. toy lol

  • I just wanted to tell you how great I think it is that you read to your baby!! My mother read for me and I started talking and understanding speach very early. I wish you the best!

  • have you thought about a baby carrier/front pack? for when you're cooking or doing dishes? something i do when my little bubba who is also 3 months, is lie him on his playgym with a boppy pillow to support his head/shoulders :)

well done for breastfeeding too, you're awesome!!!!

    keep up the great work!

  • Carter is so cute!!!!!

  • Hey Meghann! I am 20 weeks pregnant and have really enjoyed and found your blog very helpful. I plan on breastfeeding so I am definately going to check out your blog. This is very far off the subject but I am loving your hair.....what type of products are you using??? Thanks for all the info!

  • Congrats on 20 weeks!! Time started flying for me when I hit 20 wks!

Thanks! I get it colored at a salon .. I don't use much on it Finesse Moisture Shampoo, Treseme Moisture Rich Conditioner, It's A Ten Detangler...then i always either put hot rollers in it or use a curling iron & spray it with hairspray. I made a hair tutorial video once, it's on my youtube channel if you want to watch it xoxox :)

  • I missed your vlogs ! Good to see you are back :-) He is such a littel cuty !

  • I read your blog and I do not think you are in any way a breastfeding nazi like mydaughtermyworld seems to think you are. You are doing what YOU think is best for Carter and when you express how much you love breastfeeding and having that option for him I think a lot of women get sensitive regarding their decision now too so they take that as an attack against formula feeding their babies...which I know you were not doing. As long as our babies are getting fed that's all that should matter.

  • did you have to change your diet, or calorie intake in order to be able to breast feed?

  • i can't have alcohol or tons of caffiene & i drink a LOT of water.. i also take prenatal vitamins. i think my calorie intake is about the same as before i was pregnant.

  • thanks. i am 16weeks and was wondering if i had to eat special or anything to breast feed. so thanks!

  • Ha, totally meant to say "breastfeeding" nazis. As much as you claim you are not, it's very clear that you are.

  • @mydaughtermyworld what's up with the anger towards breastfeeding? I watched your video about your thoughts on formula feeding(in which i got nothing out of it was more rambling than anything). and that's fine..people are allowed to have their opinions on ANYTHING. if you don't like it don't watch it..it is that simple.

  • I honestly do thing she is a breastfeeding natzi at all and i breastfeed and formula feed! why do you feel the need to be so harsh towards someones personal beliefs? and i really dont feel like she is judging anyone!

  • It's funny that you say you don't judge other mom's feeding methods, because clearly by reading parts of your recent blog (didn't have the care to read the whole thing) you do. Formula feeding is NOT like feeding your child crap, at all, and personally I think that you should stop listening to whatever you hear and judge for yourself, meaning MEET formula fed children who are healthy, happy, and wonderful. I don't do formula feeding nazis, so therefore I will not be watching anymore.

  • @mydaughtermyworld

I think you are feeling guilty about your choice to not bf Meghann is NOT a bf nazi, I did fornula feed my first child and think it is every womans choice but in your vidoes you are so angry over ppls OPINIONS on breastfeeding! If you don't like ppl talking about breastfeeding & its wonderful benifits then don't watch it! Like you said if you search for breastfeeding on youtube you will get100+ vids. but why search for it you clearly are NOT open to learning about it!

  • you should get a bumbo seat! i love mine. we can take it any where and he loves to sit in it.

  • I seriously love his lil ears!!! Aw he's so handsome!

  • Yeah, absolutely read the classics. I still remember my mom reading Edgar Allen Poe to me as a child - I loved it. Maybe that's why I became an English major : )

I'm going to do this. thanks for reminding me.

  • My grandfather would share his newspaper with me, he'd read articles that had pictures to keep me interested. I loved it :)

  • dont worrie so much about getting him on a sleeping schedule of going to bed at 7, just do what works best for you and your family, and not so much about what others or what books say... The older he gets the easyer it will be to get him to bed at the time you want him to go to bed... My Son is 2 1/2...

  • My 2 month old daughter has the exact same sleeping pattern at night. He is still really young for a "night time" routine , so I wouldn't worry about it. And I carry my daughter around the house in her Bouncy seat when I am eating or showering and stuff like that. You can strap him in it too so you feel safe.

  • I do the same with my son. If I need to shower I put him in his bouncer and give him a toy and he keeps himself entertained while I shower or do the dishes or whatever. I agree about not worrying about the nighttime routine. My son is 10 weeks and he fell into his own routine at 8 weeks where he is in bed by 8:30 and sleeps until about 6 a.m.

  • baby jacob loves the spa music and symphony music

  • carter is super adorable! jacob babbles alot too...so cute!

  • he is so adorable

  • The twilight thing is pretty weird, no offense. At least read baby books to him, not teenage drama smut! -_- Anyways, I've heard of program called "Your Baby can Read", should check that out.

  • I don't think it matters what you read to your baby. It's the tone you use to keep him interested. He doesn't understand what your saying and it only interested in his mother's voice.

  • N/M about the Bumbo-- I saw your other repsonse to someone....but yea, I had to start putting bibs on Layla at 3 months too... and she's almost 8 months and I still have to...*sigh*

  • Do you have a "Bumbo" chair? Those are great to put them in at this age so you can get stuff done!!

  • Continue to read childrens book they will teach him alot! You just have to choose the right authors. Singing and teaching him nursery Rythmes. Im a three year old teacher with a degree in Early Childhood Education and my kids dont know Jack and Jill!!!!!! find a book of these and read read read!!!!

  • Carter is sooooo CUTE!

I am 36 weeks & getting super nervous about the delivery but so excited to meet our little girl.

    I love your videos.

    Keep up the great work!

  • My mom read me A Midsummer Night's Dream and I listened to Beethoven. I still love it now.

  • moby wrap for sure!!

  • i LOVE the bumbo seat!!! we got the tray and suction cup toy with it as a gift.. it helps strengthens baby's back and buys me some times to get things done. not to mention how cute little ones look sitting in it! it's great!

  • I use to play classical music to my daughter when she was carters age. Also flash cards with pictures & letters are great to start showing him(they should have them at Toys R Us), it will help him to read at an early age.

  • i've just started doing the classical music .. flash cards is a great idea, thanks :)

  • Happy Belated Birthday :D

Carter is so so cute. :)

  • thank you!

  • look at that cutie pie!! (carter i mean lol.. but you are too hun!!)

  • I was thinking... Have you looked at using a Moby wrap? I have a Moby D wrap to carry my baby around in to get stuff done. It is so comfy and my baby loves it. You should get one. Then you won't have to put Carter down to get stuff done.

  • i don't have a moby wrap but i do have a baby bjorn and a sling (the sling hurts my shoulder after 5 min though). it's hard to use those things and cook at the same time, i don't want one of his feet to hit the hot stove. i've looked at the moby wrap online, they look really neat!

  • get a bumbo that helps a lot and its smaller then a highschair and hellps them learn to sit up. They also have trays for them.

  • i have a bumbo, i haven't used it that much because he started to fuss after 2 minutes in it. now that he's a little older i may start to try using it again.

  • pacifiers aren't bad, they actually have proof of it reducing the risk of SIDS.

  • i've heard that too, he sleeps with his. :o)

  • You should try baby sign language!! You can search it on Youtube and learn some easy signs. This helps you communicate with your baby before he can talk and studies show that it helps him to verbalize sooner and more words earlier. Just remember to always talk when you sign with him, don't only sign. Read ANY kind of books to him, even if he doesn't seem to pay attention, it's important for him to absorb how reading sounds, it will help him when he begins reading to know how it sounds to read.

  • Thanks for the great idea!! I'm def going to look into the signing.

That makes sense, he needs to absorb how reading sounds! :)

  • My 3 mo old son got the same toy from his grandma and he loves it too!

  • His ears and little face are the cutest things ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love his ears too :)

  • to make him smart - talk to him a lot, say everything you're doing, etc.

do you have a bouncey seat (aka my lifesaver)? we have 2...one stays in the bathroom, haha.

my ava is in love with her paci, she was born a sucker! and she's wearing the same paci clip but hers is pink and green! :)

    happy belated birthday!

carter keeps getting more gorgeous everyday!

  • i try to talk to him a lot ... there are times when i run out of things to say though haha!

he doesn't seem to fit in his bouncy seat yet, hopefully soon!

    Thank you!!

  • the bouncey seat is just the little chair-type thing that they lay/snooze in, my daughter used it the day we came home from the hospital, i'm pretty sure they're 0+. it's been such a lifesaver! especially when she was sick and had to sleep propped up.

  • ahh i know what you're talking about now, i was thinking about jumpers. i have one of those seats for him next to my makeup mirror for when i'm doing my hair & makeup, you're right, it is great!!

  • You should look in to baby sign. It's amazing. And if you keep it up until he is a toddler, he will be fluent in ASL. Just keep teaching him new signs every day. Check it out.

  • definitely going to check it out, thank you!!

  • Hey there! I just read your blog about breastfeeding and I absolutely LOVED it! I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I've never considered formula feeding my coming baby, however I don't feel confident on how to breastfeed either. For instance, I've never seen a breast pump and obviously I don't know when or how or how often I need to use one. So if you could please fill me in about that I'd appreciate it. Is a breast pump necessary while breastfeed? How does it really work? Thanks

  • Play classical music :) You look great!!

  • you look great and he so cute and getting big wow!

  • so, cute im not due until may, with my first baby so i watch weekly from when u where preg, n all ur new updates, thnk you so much u have turly helped tons!

  • Have you thought about starting baby sign language?

it's a great way to interact with your baby and it helps your child communicate with you. it's also very stimulating for your lil one. keep up the great work

  • Do you have a baby wrap or Bjorn or something similar? I have a Hug-a-Bub and my 7 week old loves it. I can vacuum, cook, do my makeup, etc. with him in it and he is so happy, plus it's like the best part of being pregnant- feeling so close to your little baby! :)

I heard one of the best things to do is talk constantly WITH your baby, and have full conversations with them, rather than talking to your baby.

You guys look great!! You're both so cute :)

  • i have a sling and a bjorn ... when i put him in them it's usually hit or miss, depending on if he's feeling fussy. I know what you mean about feeling preg while wearing them! i like it!

  • you could think about My baby can read program, I always talk to mine in regular talk like you talk to everyone else instead of like googoogaga talk that helps with speech. you sound like you are having fun with him thats all that matters. when you are teaching him don't make it like he has to learn make it seem like playtime. if you have breastfeeding questions just ask i just stopped breastfeeding my 2 yr old i bf for two yrs straight. I know what ya mean about the laughing I do it too lol

  • wow 2 years, that's awesome!

I've never heard of My Baby Can Read, i'm going to look into it. thanks for the idea!

  • First thing I have to say is that three days of anything is not enough try something for two weeks and then if it doesn't work try something else. My sister is a kinder teacher and when I had my twins Id say "we have been trying all these "things and nothing works" she you have to do it more than three nights you have to so it for at least two weeks to rule something out. Also you look great.

  • Carter is adorable! Love your vlogs! Can't wait to see more!

  • Instead of a bumbo seat I suggest the Summer Infant super seat booster/infant postioner . He can use it alot longer than the bumbo and won't outgrow it as fast. We have one and LOVE it! Babies R Us sells it.

  • He is soooo flippin adorable I just can't get over it! I can't wait to meet our little guy! He's not due til end of March, beg of April but I've been having contractions all day and might have to go to L&D in the morning. Say a prayer for us cause even though I wanna meet him, NOT YET! Carter is so cute it's beyond words. You are very luck and I hope to keep mine cookin and be just as lucky! :)

  • i had some early contractions too .. make sure you're staying hydrated and all that good stuff. I hope everything is ok! congrats, you don't have much longer!!

  • you are honestly my favorite new mommy :)

  • Couple of things... 1 Buy a Bumbo Chair. they are at Target for 25 or 30 $. Super WORTH IT! 2. baby sign language! Buy a little baby sign book and learn basic signs like milk, bath, more, ect... It is a MUCH easier way for them to communicate because they are better with hands than language at first. Good Luck!

  • My mum breastfed both my brother and I until we were 2 years old.

Now we are adults, I have an above average IQ and my brother has an IQ way below average so I dont believe that being breastfed makes you smarter I think its all determined in your genes before you are born. On the other hand my husband was formula fed from birth and is alot smarter than I am! Go figure.

  • hmm that's really interesting!

  • Do you have a baby sling? They are amazing..that was the only way I could get anything done with my daughter when she was young.

  • i do have a sling, he's getting so heavy that it hurts my shoulder! sometimes i use it for a little bit though

  • Purchase books or cartoons on dvd that are in a different language. If he watches and or is read another language for about an hour a day he will be bilingual by age 2 or 3 which is amazing!!

  • that's a great idea!

  • You guys look AWESOME !!! :) Your video made me laugh because when you said you tend to laugh when its suppose to be serious ! Im the exact same way lol ! Atleast im not alone on that one ! ..Wish you guys all the best :) .. Quick question. I want to breast feed but i know a lot of moms dont go through with it because it hurts a lot.. How long did it hurt for you ?

  • thank you!

for me it was a little uncomfortable for the first couple days but it never really hurt, it just feels like tugging. every woman is different though!

  • i loved what you wrote about the breast feeding, I read the whole thing, made me feel bad though that I could have tried harder to breast feed, I just don't get why some women have milk before the baby even here! and me, it's like nothing comes out and I keep pumping and they asked me to pump pump pump 7-8 times a day! I didn't have time, I had to feed him something, and its so stressful the first 2 weeks, I was lucky I gave him few ounces my my milk. and then gave it up.

  • You may want to look into the Your Baby Can Read program, that may give Carter the head start you desire!

  • they have the "my baby can read" program its really neat. One thing i did was NO baby talking. I wouldn't allow anyone baby talk to my daughter, they had to speak to her just like she was an adult. and her vocabulary for 2 years old is amazing

  • Im not against breast feeding but I dont like that Dr's and nurses make you feel like your a bad parent for not doing it. I dont think that breastfed babies are any smarter than formula fed babies..or that they get sick less..I mean nothing bad by this so please dont think im getting snappy..I have 4 kids and I dont say this cuz there my kids but they are really smart and really healthy and my 2 oldest I only breast fed them for 8 weeks

  • i'm like you, i don't judge ppl's feeding methods, i'm just doing what i want to do...

i always felt like when my doctors asked how i was feeding, and i said breastfeeding, they just shrugged it off. go figure.

i think i've told you this before .. you're incredible for being a mother of 4 .. amazing to me! i can barely get the hang of how to handle 1. soo much respect to you!! xoxox!

  • you need a BUMBO to sit him in if you do not have one!! This is a lifesaver which is what my friend said to me she bought one for home and one for daycare. maybe you could research it for him...Bumbo Baby chair

  • You should look at Bumbo seats. Some people think they are expensive but i think they are a life saver! You can set it right on the table or floor or chair for them to play or eat. You can buy it with a tray as well. Might work for you!

  • he is so adorable!! :) i love his big eyes!!

  • hes so cute

  • Carter is such a cutie! That was my new year's resolution too, to do more youtube vlogs =)

  • He's getting cuter and cuter everyday!!
