  • Why not believe this music was made in 1971? It could've been 1972 at the latest. You can easily hear the echoes of Soft Machine, Van der Graaf Generator & Focus. All groovy Euro early fusion bands. I'm not wild about miming to a song on-stage, but in this case Klaus is able to film himself playing a variety of instruments simultaneously. Quite impossible in the live performance format.

  • This not 1971---this late 70's

  • uuudoooooo......(am schlagzeug)!

  • hahahah ur anus

  • this guys are amazing! this for me remember soft machine and area...

  • The 70´s was the best decade for music...this is the proof!!!!!

  • @MultiGemini666 The '60s also!

  • UDO LINDENBERG on drums...yeah!

  • Oh man... I've been trippin' and trippin'....

  • Wow! I was looking for the guy who composed the score for Das Boot! Not what I was expecting!

  • @gd01skorpiu: Always underestimate German musicians like that ? LOL :)

  • The coldest (not coolest!) sounding Jazz formation ever.

  • @vachalia: What problems you have, poor.....and i even don´t pity you.....LOL

  • @dogsmeasuredogs That's a beautiful Farfisa. I used to think that they were German-produced, but then I discovered that they're pure MADE IN ITALY!!

  • hell yeah thanks for the post!!!!

  • Ich liebe Doldingers Sound

  • What a classic setup... Lothar Meid: Amon Düül, Embryo, later he was producer of Westernhagen and Chairman of CBS Record company that was swallowed by Sony Music... Jimmy Jackson: Played with Embryo, Tangerine Dream, Westernhagen & the early Spider Murphy Gang

  • Holy shit 2 58 reminds me king crimson. This band was the shit. They just sound epic and legendary.

  • This is the only filmed document by the original Passport line up, even before the release of their first album ´Passport-Doldinger`.This video was produced for the legendary german Beat Club series (1970/71)

  • I really love Klaus' sound, and the embisher he uses, producing a warm but adventurous tone that is his signature. Good stuff!

  • Udo Lindenberg on drums...

  • i`ve seen and heard the Band ( with curd kress,dr.) in these days in stuttgart, gustav siegle haus.

  • Der Beste Deutsche Musiker Überhaupt

  • 1:40 Dave chappell on organ lol!

  • thanks for the aclaration

  • yeaaaa..this is absolutely beautiful rock jazz fussion.. what a brass sound!!!

  • The Saxophone (although made out of brass) is actually not a brass instrument but a woodwind, relating to the reed that's made from wood.

  • Doldinger was the Jazz Fusion Luke Skywalker to Miles Davis' Darth Vader...he had the Jedi Fusion force in him and became even stronger than the master.

  • 1970-1979 were the best years for jazz...harnessing electric and acoustic, before "smooth" took over...sometimes I wish I was born 20 years earlier...

  • I luv this Track!

  • Reminds me of Chicago (Transit Authority), fab video!!

  • If "the 1970's" was a brand name, this would be it's theme song. Absolutely awesome.

  • Grandi! che bell' epoca, che belle timbriche

  • Holy Crap! They took Miles Davis' fusion Jazz experiments and just ran with it! This is classic material.
