If you like its somewhat boring styling the RL might not cost any more to operate due to better resale, longer base warranty, and predicted better reliability. It'll have a little more refined interior, better handling. The Taurus is almost there, but not quite.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I want one. Well the SHO actually. This is the only Ford I want to own. There is somthing about the looks and the interior design that's really attractive and I like the chrome bits alot.
This is so much better looking than the new 2010 LaCroose which looks like a bloated Lexus with a Sweepspear thrwon in for good measure. Plus this car has a larger trunk, interior and AWD is available on all models. Very nice car.

A: Cars are designed minimum 2 to 3 years before they are even sent out to private tracks for testing and then in to mass production. We're talking like 4 years or more from design board to showroom floor by the thousands.
B: Every car that was ever designed since the first one built is technically copying someone else in one way or another. Everybody wants to take what they like and try to improve on it.

This is the best 4 door car ever made with the impala ss and pontiac G8 no import car looks like a american car. imports are ugly and cheaply made my grandma had a taurus and now a camry the camry sucks now they wish they went and got another taurus imports too many problems.
This car is going to be good, especially the sho model which is around 35k and has a ~356hp engine with same fuel economy. This car most reminds me of that new Volks Wagon, the one you see in the comercial with the couple driving and they're like did you see that and then there it is again, yea i think it looks similar to that.
Too bad ford's quality is on par with all other companies besides Mercedes and those other ones. And check out some pictures on the ford website and compare them to pictures of the vw on their site.

Before you start saying Ford copied VW take a look at one of Fords European cars called the Mondeo. The Passat looks very similar to the most recent Mondeo, and the Mondeo came out first.

I think the Sonata is about 1/2 the price of this vehicle though. The front looks just about like every other mid-sized vehicle on the market...wrapped headlights etc. At least they got rid of the fugly three chrome bar grill...I know this is a "full size" vehicle, but I can't see people paying this much for a vehicle that is guaranteed to depreciate as much as a Ford does...Maybe the Obama stimulus bill will give people a credit for buying an inferior car...
I like this car because it has REAL WORLD ROOM in the back seat and trunk. The Pontiac G8 also has a huge interior. Who the crap wants a sedan that is so small inside that rear passengers are packed in like 3 ppl in a phone booth? Bravo, Ford! The dash also has a stylish and updated look....nice.

I think all car resemble one another. The basic design of the sedan hasn't changed much since the introduction of the 1986 Taurus. Ironic, you would say that.
