that "dumbass rapper" is mos def, and he's great. that version and this version are intended to be quite different and can't be compared. this version was dj shadow's idea of social commentary while he did the remix for fast and the furious.

yea dude its a snare but its super loose... thats how the drummer in my band plays his and in most of our songs it just dsnt fit because its soundes shitty with the brutal breakdowns and the sick guitar riffs.
