I actually think Carnival of Light *has* been bootlegged after all. Those who do have it know how rare it is and aren't willing to share which is why it isn't floating around on the net.

One guy commenting on a newspaper article I saw online says he heard it in a bar in Amsterdam in 1993 because the barman's friend of a friend of a friend etc. worked at a recording studio and got a load of bootlegs. He said it sounded like something from Sgt. Pepper but that he hadn't heard it before.

Based on what I've read I don't think this cover is as far off as you think.

The closest you will get is listening to "Return of the Son of Monster Magnet" by Frank Zappa and imagining a darker, slower variant of it.

this video is a cover song of a Beatles song that very few people have actually heard. I my self have never heard this song, but I have read a general description of the song, that was printed in a book called "The Complete BEATLES Recording Sessions" By: Mark Lewisohn.

Either way, I'm really into psychedelic music and even if you were totally off (not implying you were) this was a really, really good composition.

Pretty good. Even though it's not as complex as some other attempts, this is probably closer to the original in the sense that it doesn't have a techno/dance music sound to it. More just meandering sound loops and gibberish vocals.

Btw, I really like the sort of creepy vocal noises.
