I'm so glad they actually created the Chamber of Secrets scene, unlike in the book, where Ron's just like, "Ya, we were in the Chamber of Secrets getting a basilisk's fang." And I love how they added Ron and Hermione's first kiss, they whole scene added so much depth to the movie!!
For those who are looking for the bit where Ron and Hermione kiss, I must say that, unfortunately, I can't find it either, but I know how to play it. I played it by ear on the piano. Thumbs up if you're interested!!
Actually, Hedwig's theme from the first movie makes small appearances in many of the scores in this soundtrack, usually just a few but easily recognised notes nestled into the score.
I like to think (even if I'm probably wrong) that it's to honour Hedwig as her death didn't get all that much attention in the movie, as well as give a recognising nod to the first, memorable soundtrack of the series.
I liked this scene, but I thought it would've been better if Ron and Hermione were in more danger. Like, not to sound cruel, but I thought the level of intensity should've been higher, like having the chamber fill up with water, Ron and Hermione almost drowning trying to find a way out... or something. Get what I'm saying?
i thought the director could of added maybe a little bit more to this scene where Ron and Hermione kissed but idk..they are both GREAT charcacters!! HARRY, RON, and HERMIONE FTW!!!
This sounds like John Williams wrote it. Desplat did such a great job on this movie. Not only did he do a good job of doing credit to the composers of the earlier movies, he also allowed room for some of their better themes to make a reappearance in the movie.
PS. Williams did actually collaborate with Desplat a little on this movie.

This place gave me a nice little flashback to the CoS film. ;) I was surprised that they still had the set lol.

@xFirebird925x They didn't have the set. Most of it was in front of a greenscreen.

@xFirebird925x It wasn't a set, the whole thing except the basilisk's body and the water that actually splashes on them as greenscreen.

Their kiss was perfection. It didn't seem awkward at all, even though to them it was super awkward. xD Ronmione forever :)

@MrHPsauce01 I agree. Desplat basically combines elements I liked from all the other hp composers to make one beast of a soundtrack.

@MrHPsauce01 Yeah, what an epic combination. Great score.
