Great changui dancing. Note how they dance on the "2", not the "1". critical concept for dancing like a Cuban. Great changui bongo. Sounds like the bongosero from Grupo Changui de Guantanamo.
mdubuque,When I dance I don't Count, as I learnt dancing Callejero. The concept Cuban dancing was to follow el tiempo. If you note it in old 78 rpm recording you don't hear Los Palitos-call clave.Consequently, you were to follow,el Bongo,or la marimbula/Bass or el tumbao del tre.Dancing on"1" or "2" is nothing but academic stuff, has nothing to with dancing.Go to Guantanamo and try to dance either on "1" or "2",and see you won't be able to dance with any of the girls in there.
when it strikes up, she's dancing 1...3,4,1...3,4.. so I don't see that as on2 it looks like a Son basic moved onto the 3. But it is what it is, like locinty says... the academic stuff has to come second, AFTER the reality, not before it.

Hi Locinty, you are jumping the gun, jumping to conclusions amigo.
My wife is from oriente, we can dance this. I was referring to all the salsa dancers from new york who pretend they can dance this and they can't.
I'm sure you are a great dancer! Just don't jump to conclusions about me, OK?

This is totally wrong. Modern changui "with clave" isn't changui at all. It's European gibberish.

That's a very good and important point
worth mentioning. And that is precisely a
point that those, who for a long time have
saught to somehow make some kind of "connection" between cuban musical
roots and the Europeans, purposely ignore. When or if we trace cuban musical
tradition and its roots, we end up in Africa--not Europe.

Oh my gosh, you are just so confused and are just speaking in word salad. You have zero clue what is going on.
