  • interresting that both crashes a phillip island were in the same spot.

  • the last crash, the mazda... it is actually sitting at a wrecko\ing yard on fairford rd near the M5...

  • super cars are off tap.

  • Great vid and music, but would be better without the music.

  • There is another crash from a v8 supercar race last year on that same corner as that last bonus crash. I forget who it was but he got offline at the top of the hill and hit the sand sideways and rolled like 6 or 7 times.

  • That one with the flames was amazing... I can't believe no one was seriously injured.

Marcos Ambrose. I'm sure it won't be long until he has another word on word talk in a NASCAR crash..

  • Time to update this vid I reckon, include Coulthards roll at Bathurst last year and Reindlers fireball at Barbagallo

  • Two reasons why they ran to see if Lowndes was ok after that smash...

    1) Because the sportsmanship in motorsport in NZ and Australia is 2nd to none

    2) Because the crash officials where no where to be seen. :|

  • @Ministock85h 3) they were his friends & were concerned for his safety

  • Awesome vid mate keep up the goodwork

  • bum

  • mark larkahms crash was huge

  • where would you rank fabian coulthard flip at bathurst

  • I think Fabian Coulthard's crash at Bathurst this year beats Craig Lowndes' hands down

  • @sami4tom @carrac111 I would rank Fabian's crash at #2.

  • 3:08. A beautiful scene to behold. The pilots stopped running to help his colleague.

    Sorry my bad english

  • 3:08. A beautiful scene to behold. The pilots stopped running to help his colleague.

  • Wow #8, Larkhams crash was in the exact same place Bargwanna crashed in 02-03 i think.

  • @AlKezer712 I never noticed that, but you are absolutely correct. Nice find.

  • realistically happen nowadays is when a drivers door is crashed into at high speed. Like we saw a few years ago with Mark Porter getting killed on the top of the mountain during practice at Bathurst.

  • what i cant understand with people is how noone can belive that someone can survive a crash like the last two that were shown on this video ( and this years bathurst race, fabian coulthard off at the chase) any race car is so fucking rigid, stiff, strong and safe that it is very hard for their to be fatal accidents. The drivers have head and neck support, harnesses and very good helmets. simply rolling in a circle isnt going to kill anyone. The only way that a fatal collision could..

  • mate grate vid but have to say ther are worse crashes out ther like the 2 that killed ashley cooper at adlaide or the 1 that killed mark porter at baturst

  • @mattyXXRR66 This is mainly focused on spectacular, not serious crashes. RIP to those guys. There are other bad crashes in V8's also.

  • @eastsider4eva Agreed. Garth Tander's door falling off deserves a bloody good mention too :D

  • such appropriate music for that last crash, really sets the mood, lol

  • awesome video

  • killer song

  • Mark Larkham has had an unlucky career, with crashes like that, two of the worst ever. And in No.10, what about Craig Baird in the WPS car weaving in and out of the pileup with cars pulling out and everything. Lucky escape. Good Vid.

  • yea THE LAST ONE IS BIG you see the engine get ripped out, hope he was ok

  • #7 paul broke both his ankles not just one, and #1 i think craig flipped a few more then 6 times xD but other wise awsome video man

  • @coreyhasnolife Paul broke his left ankle in 2008 and his right one in 2006. Or vice versa, I dunno.

  • @coreyhasnolife he rolled 5 1/2. learn to count

  • 2nd is my favourite

  • I don't belive that he wasn't killed in the last one

  • @carlover975 What's even more unbelievable is he was at least 55 years old

  • I love System of a Down! :D

  • @MANBOOBIES13, Those drivers were all fined later on as the rules state you aren't allowed to leave your vehicle. I understand they were trying to help, and were concerned for their fellow competitor, however if one of them was hit it would've been fatal.

Also, @ColonelViper, It was the 2008 WPS Bathurst 12 hour, held February 10th 2008.

@Dunnybrusher, It wasn't the last lap, it was mid-afternoon, with at least 3 hours remaining in the race. I was there, best race i've seen in a long time

  • @Diptwankynard I never knew the drivers were fined. That's bullshit.

  • yeh his right. i also never knew the drivers we're fined

  • @Diptwankynard, And all of the drivers said thay would do it again without question. Fine or Not

  • shit music

  • 0:58, thinks "this is gonna hurt!'

  • that last video is from back when the subaru and mitsi where racing back in the day cause its on a dvd i got from 2005

  • Nah, I'm certain it was at the 08 Bathurst 12 Hour.

  • @Dunnybrusher

Correct, the wreck it still in a wreckers in Bankstown NSW.. got pics of it :)

  • ty dunny :)

  • number*

  • the crash numer 1 dead?

  • Nope. He fractured his knee, and won the championship the same year. What a legend.

  • No Paul Weel/Chris Pither? I thought that'd be a shoe in for Top 3

  • Sorry, didn't have the footage :(

  • look at the way sum drivers stop and help3:08

  • that was a great list however i think the larkham/morris one should have been higher

  • #9 was rick kelly, in the holden young lions car, not todd kelly

  • Lowndes Rulez End Of Story!

  • na holdsworth rules all the time lowdsee just got lucky

  • #2 was my first race i ever watched, honestly lowndes shouldnt have been number 1, it was a rollover, it was fierce but it happens all the time in other motorsports like NASCAR and in my opinion its an overrated spill

  • You have a very good point there.

  • @Dunnybrusher thankyou if only my teachers reconised my arguing as "good" lol

  • But it did cause him to have to have a knee reconstruction.

  • yeah but you see things like richard pettys rollover in Pocono(not quite sure when) and ive been told that he broke his neck in it, then there is things like the speedway i race at, people are always hurting themselves, ive broken fingers from hitting walls and i no people who have broken both arms in rollovers, wheres all their attention

  • That's true, but these are V8 Supercar Crashes. You don't often hear about V8 Drivers get injured, or at least to the extent of Craig's injury.

  • actually thats true but there has been a fatal crash and a couple ppl die in the v8 races which is wierd how they wreck too...

  • @speedwaysedan12 Well, that's the case with all sports. Top level sport gets reported, lower and club level sports don't. You'd have to turn over the entire media to sports coverage if you want to cover everyone's private sporting deeds.

  • Oh and lowndes Rulesz! post good comment if u love lowndsee aka lowndes...

  • w00t!

  • Funny That Most Of The Crashes Were Done By Holdens. Good On Ambrose For Having Ago At Murphey! Post Me As Good Comment If You Love Ford!

  • Yeah i agree, its great sportsmanship, get out and help, from all sides of the badge, was good to see, To toddly, holden will do well now, im spewin he back over to dark side, but good luck to him, hope to see him back to ford in near future..... if they bloody do the right thing, soon will be an all holden race

  • Fair play to all the drivers that ran to help out......

  • the last one was yea even no it was still green flag like WTF they got out and helped

  • sweet vid, well suited to that song and...glad you're back lowndsee

  • good collection, another couple you could have added was jason richards at pukekohe, ( unsure what year) in his dodo commodore, drivers rushed out to help him as well, and the hrt/ozemail crash at bathurst

  • great tunes!!!!

  • The guy who got out of the car.. thats the right fucking thing to do.

  • best thing i have even seen in motor sport the blokes in the car in the lowndes crash was the blokes gettin out their cars to help in.....

  • yep you dont see sportmanship like that any more

  • great list.

  • it truly is amazing that people are willing to give up the race for craig. thats team spirit

  • alright movie but i hate your taste in music..

  • I get that a lot :p

  • awesome video m8 but u 4got jason richards roll over lol im his biggest fan

  • Sorry, couldn't get footage at the time.

  • hope the thriftey sign was just a sponser not a real rentel might have to pay for the slight panel damage

  • juz die v8s . the automotive world don nid such a boastfull useless engine .

  • I'm not into V8's either (Fast turbo 4's my personal fav) but seriously mate, GET A FRIGGIN LIFE.

  • hey m8 anzac68 how about u get a life this guys is just makin videos so f*** off and leave people alone

  • fuck off u idiot fucking prius driver

  • Paul Radisich broke both of his legs asweell i was there BUT great video

  • and as well as some vertebras in his back

  • 10\10 Great video and great song to match well done mate.

  • Gotta love the aussie V8 Supercars

  • the best thing about craig lowndes' roll over was seeing all the other drivers running over to help him, truly brilliant.

  • yeh i've never seen that before, too bad they were fined though

  • top vid mate

  • AWSOME video mate

  • fucking awesome songg!!!!!!!! soad FTW

    great vid too

  • you got to admit how quick auzzie fire teams and first aid teams are that firey crash at 1:40 it took about 15 seconds for both drivrs to be out and water on fire pretty fast to when you see other crashes takes about 5 minutes for help to arrive!

  • 2:02 looks like he does a burnout

  • haha yeah

  • look at all those "real driver" who stopped and helped out craig lowndes

  • good 2 c other drivers stopping 2 help craig lowndes when he flipped

  • Paul Radisich 2006 Bathurst\

    Jason Richards 2005 Bathurst

That roll over in the chase around 97,98

Chris Pither and Paul Wheel, Bathurst 2008

    John Cleland 2004 Bathurst

    And more!

Some good some bad, more thought and it couldve been better!

  • ouch... My best friend ever lived in Adelaide!! :)

  • Brings shivers to the spine. Where else would you see such mateship. Long live V8 supercars and long live Aussie Mateship! Loud and Proud!

  • Adelaide Clipsal 500...quite simply the best race in the World!

  • Bathurst 1000 is best ever

  • Nice i like lowndies and number 4 with all the fire :)

  • fucking mark larkham

  • System Of A Down - Chop Suey

  • does anyone have footage murphy and bargwanna after the crash

  • Hate to be the one to tell you, but the yellow flag is for when shit like that happens.

  • you missed paul radisich bathurst 2006

  • at 2:49 the flag marshalls should have waved a fucking yellow flag i mean cant they fucking see

  • Those marshalls gave flag signalls for their sector of the track, which is beyond the flagpost in the diretion the cars are travelling. Lowndes' car had not entered that sector, so there was no immediate danger to the cars that were in it. Obviously, the race was red flagged and restarted after this incident, though.

  • hey nice vid wats the name of the song???

  • Chop Suey by SOAD.

  • Great video!

What's the name of the song?

  • Chop Suey by System of A Down

  • No. 10 at adelade should have been a bit higher, that changed that track forever

  • It didn't look like any of the drivers had a huge impact. Unlike the '06 pile-up, where Courtney got T-Boned.

  • cumon man where is dick johnson and his crash in his green stuff XE ford on bathurst n he shoot out?

  • 1. Technically, that's not V8 Supercars. That's ATCC.

    2. I didn't even think of adding that one, I completely forgot about it.

  • yeah i suppose so i didnt even think of that. you can make the TOP TEN australian touring car crashes form 1960 to 2009 or something that would be mad

  • Well, I have a Dick Johnson VHS and a Bathurst 93-96 VHS but I don't have a video card so I can't get them on to YouTube. And I can't find any good clips...

  • its on dick johnsons dvd with all his cars right from where he first started and when he finished. i have the dvd.

  • Craig Lowndes' crash goes so well with the song, man would i hate to be Lowndesy

  • Nice vid mate.

i thought it was really good of the drivers to hop out of their cars to help out Lowndes at calder.

    Aussie PRIDE!

  • Comment removed

  • I think it's a bit harsh that you half blame McConville for the 2004 crash in Adelaide- PD was TRYING TO PASS at TURN 8- a high speed corner notorious for crashes and it is NOT a place to pass!!!

  • I wasn't BLAMING him, I was stating who were the people most involved.

  • I know you weren't blaming him (or anyone for that matter, I interpreted it as you were trying to be "neutral".

The exact quote from your video is "Cameron McConville & Paul Dumbrell CAUSE a pile up.

I don't have any problem with it at all, I think your video is great (as is the music)- all I'm saying is that people could quite easily misinterpret it.

Keep up the good work :)

  • chop suey :P great vid

  • bloody good vid 5/5, boy being in that last one would be a hell of a ride

  • great vid, and the song fits it.

  • great video BIG CRASHES!

  • usually i'm not big on compilation videos set to music, but good work mate, the editing/syncing was great

  • love it, great work

  • nice vid. i love it

  • Number 9 was pretty weak.

Crashes worthy to be in ahead of some of these include Greg Murphy at Phillip Island in 1997, Tomas Mezera flips at Bathurst in 1997, PileUp at Forrest Elbow at Bathurst in 1998, and the glaring omission is Jason Richards at Queensland Raceway in 2005.

  • okay, ill get on that.
