  • I thought this was the best tribute to Steve to date - so tragically beautiful. It was light, it was touching, it was so simple that it was almost mundane... and yet, at the same time, it said everything he wanted to say.

  • @starwarsnerdable ha ha yes! I felt like that the first time I saw it. I just cry openly now lol.

  • My goodness, this guy can do anything. Just one sentence made everyone become serious.

  • You know that feel when you are about to cry and feel theres something in your throat when your holding back your tears.

  • I was thinking, oh god, this isn't going to be meaningful or heartfelt. This The Colbert Report, for god's sake!

By the end, I was practically in tears.

He did a really good job.

  • Funny how he said the simplest thing, and yet, was much more meaningful.

  • Whoa, that ending really hurt...

  • Really stephen? You think AT&T has service in heaven?

But really, this was probably the best goodbye Ive ever heard.

  • There are many types of geniuses in the world: math, art, this guy is comedy. He is a genius in the fact that he know what to say and when to say it. He makes a eulogy funny and sad, and still doesn't break his witty character. There is no one that can come close to the brilliance of this man. He is a genius among geniuses. I would consider him the smartest man alive.

  • Damn Colbert...too good....just too damned good.

  • I remember seeing this when it first aired. I immediately started tearing up because Stephen was really close to Steve. He not only lost s business partner, but also a friend.

  • Yeah. Wow.

  • I remember watching this on tv. Seriously, this is just wow. I love this.

  • damn it, i still feel sad...

  • serioiusly, how do you not get it...

  • that was really sad..right back at you.. thanks for everything steve..

  • for a guy who stayed in character in front of the fucking united states congress, this tiny bit of television really does mean a lot

  • Great TV, Colbert's a fukn genius,

  • I simply do not understand how people are not getting the message. The heartfelt message is the fact that Colbert is replying to Steve by thanking him for everything and sending his message. It's a simple but very deep message of thanks. Which is rare for Colbert to display.

  • i don't get the 'heartfelt' part. but at least it's not offensive, i think..

  • @jojoinhere He is thanking Steve Jobs for everything he has done. If you did not notice, he said "We Will Be Right Back" in his usual tone of voice that he uses to say it

  • @jojoinhere You're an idiot.

  • Thank you steve jobs. RIP

  • Amazing how that went from funny to saddening in 2 seconds.

  • Too bad the sublimity and the beauty of the message is not understood by many.

  • this makes no sense

  • Yes - same to you.

  • What would be the right meaning of “Right back at ya!" ? Is it like "same to you" ?

  • @fl4v102001 More or less, yes.

  • @fl4v102001 Yep.

  • Thank you Steve. Thank you for everything.

  • Nice :-)

  • One of the greatest bits of comedic jujitsu I have ever seen. Thank you Stephen Colbert.

  • I don't get it :S I love Colbert and all but this doesn't feel heartfelt.

  • @CooperSnow He was basically replying with "Thank you for everything you've done."

  • this was great

  • Love Stephen Colbert! He is a comedic genius...brilliant and touching.
