I thought this was the best tribute to Steve to date - so tragically beautiful. It was light, it was touching, it was so simple that it was almost mundane... and yet, at the same time, it said everything he wanted to say.
There are many types of geniuses in the world: math, art, this guy is comedy. He is a genius in the fact that he know what to say and when to say it. He makes a eulogy funny and sad, and still doesn't break his witty character. There is no one that can come close to the brilliance of this man. He is a genius among geniuses. I would consider him the smartest man alive.
I remember seeing this when it first aired. I immediately started tearing up because Stephen was really close to Steve. He not only lost s business partner, but also a friend.
I simply do not understand how people are not getting the message. The heartfelt message is the fact that Colbert is replying to Steve by thanking him for everything and sending his message. It's a simple but very deep message of thanks. Which is rare for Colbert to display.
@jojoinhere He is thanking Steve Jobs for everything he has done. If you did not notice, he said "We Will Be Right Back" in his usual tone of voice that he uses to say it
I think it's fascinating and somehow beautiful how so many people got together and celebrated what was essentially a CEO for a big company. I have put together a video showing people celebrating Steve all over the world outside apple stores on my channel if you would like to see.

I was thinking, oh god, this isn't going to be meaningful or heartfelt. This The Colbert Report, for god's sake!
By the end, I was practically in tears.
He did a really good job.

Funny how he said the simplest thing, and yet, was much more meaningful.
