Yet, the call to follow Jesus is not easy, a book I'd recommend about it is The Cost of Discipleship by Deitrich Bonhoeffer, he was a spy and a pastor who fought against Hitler's nazi regime and ended up being hung for his involvement. Jesus made it clear life would be difficult for the Christian, look at his first 12 disciples, 11 were killed and 1 exiled to Patmos. His call is not easy. Convenient? Yes. It gives life.
