@343blech Nope, didn't forget him, or Alex Van Halen, or a hundred other great drummers. It's all about what they play and what you like. I'm awed by the way Taylor crosses multiple music styles seamlessly. I know Peart is an insanely talented drummer, but Rush never rocked my world too much. Besides, Peart gets props from everyone; I like to recognize the unsung. Peart is a drumming god, no doubt.
@tsrla My favorite unsung drummers are Floyd Sneed of Three Dog Night (listen closely to their songs - there isn't any overdubbing going on - that's all one guy in one pass!), and Frank Beard of ZZ Top. But the absolute best drummer I've ever heard live is the incredible Scotty "Chernobyl" Churilla, with the Reverend Horton Heat. Powerful and subtle all at the same time...
@jemogan Always been a fan of Three Dog Night and ZZ Top. Those are really good drummer picks...very unsung. I have to admit I'm not as informed about SCC. I did see the Reverend Horton Heat once at The House of Blues, but I don't remember it as clearly as I'd like to. I appreciate the heads-up, will check him out. Thanks.
The first time I seen Duran Duran Live was 1983 on my 17th birthday I cannot believe 27 years have gone by since then... next was when they supported Robbie Williams live in 2005 in Melbourne Australia the only reason I went was to see them perform then 2008 still the best band for me of all time. So much better when they all work together so good to see Andy back. This was probably one of their biggest hits but not one of their best for me. Duran Duran Rocks!!
haha, probably lol... i don't think he actually is gay, but he certainly does dress like a gay man, also when he got married back in the 1980's he wore a PINK suit.
does nick rhodes ever smile? i dont think he does he is mot like the most bored member of the bad because he just stands there and i doubt if the crowd can even see him poor guy
I saw him smile once at a concert in london. I cant remember if the video is still on youtube but it was amasing, (im not a big fan of the band so i dont know a alot about them).
@ Super. You're correct, Rhodes looks absolutely miserable, almost pathetic looking in his lack of enthusiasm, not to mention that he also looks as gay as a $3 bill.
it's mainly because simon and nick wanted andy and roger to be paid less than they were when they first reformed, because they felt like they were the ones that had kept the band together whilst roger and andy were away. thats one of the reasons why andy left again.
Jupiter 8 will always be one of the best synths ever.

If I didn't know any better, I'd swear Rhodes is wearing women's eye makeup.
ylekiot43 2 years ago
@ylekiot43 it's probably because he is.
littlemisspink12 2 years ago
Why? Is he actively promoting his gay lifestyle? Anyway, thanks for the reply. Peace out.

That male eyemakeup is part of the overall gay/fem look.

@ylekiot43 yeah he is quite camp i guess, although not as camp as jason from take that. but i really don't think nick is actually gay
