Hello Kay, you are a wonderful teacher. This was my first time hearing you. Do you have a direct channel? Also prayer is a wonderful way for people to really get in touch and listen to their inner voice. I have trouble fasting. I am addicted to food. However, I know it is not right, it is my down -fall. Some people call it comfort food. God is truly my comfort. My prayers seem to be always coming right on time!
May I suggest reading Roman 1 through 12. I being a fool and a slave to the father’s will can suggest one other thing if you look to the Bible and seek his word as treasure (Proverbs 2:all and 19:v2) and give your heart to Jesus he will open your eyes, and you will know his will.
Yes/No/Wait is quite equivalent with nobody listening. I don't think anybody can ever know the will of (a) God, though some theologians pretend so. The Romans quote explains little about knowing the will of God: Good/Acceptable are ambigous.
Btw, I see comments regarding atheists as 'believing there is no God'. Atheists just lack a belief in God. It's like going to God-supermarket: some people buy Yahweh, some Allah, some Vishnu. Atheists buy nothing at all.

I however feel that we are seperate from each other, we learn from our physical environment, and not some made up force exerting its will on us. she seems legit, and I do like what she's saying at first glance,.....however scripture says she's not supposed to be teaching, read 1 timothy and titus.
The bottom line is that God created this world and man to glorify Him. It's all about Him, not us. Sometimes we lose sight of this and our prayers become about what we want and not what God wants. Someone posted about cancer and bad things and why wouldn't God take those away. It is hard to understand suffering, but know this...God created a perfect world, but because of sin there is suffering, sickness, and death. Jesus came so that we can live forever without these things!
The bottom line is that God did not create a perfect world and instead of taking responsability for his mistake, he's mad at his creation. If you would do that, you would be considered inmoral, but if god does it, well, we excuse him. At the beginning of his creation God said, "all is good.' But not too long later, by Genesis 6, he realize that all was not good after all and so he proceeded to destroy everything in the most cruel way--drawning. One has to be a psychopath to do that.
Wow! that is a statement that makes absolutely no sense. This really shows us that this god is a megalomaniac and had to create our universe to fulfill his narcissistic personality.
Does the sin thing make sense? God creates sin, and then creates this loophole to get out of it with this Jesus guy! If he would have thought this out, he could have implemented this sooner!.
I know, lets ask god to tell us his side of the story! ....Still Wating.....Still Wating.............Still Wating..........
The problem is that organized religion has no idea who jesus is, and they arrogantly define him and god in the most legalistic way possible.Jesus hated organized religion and had nothing to do with it. He never preached a message of change. If jesus died for the sins of the world, then what could we possibly do that will send us to hell. Its not about obeying rules spewed out by hypocrites. Woe to you hypocrites and teachers of the law! Thats what this is. The exact thing jesus was against.
@careypeak23 Why would Jesus have to die for anyones sins, could god not just forgive everyone and give us all a get out of sin for free card? Jesus was like you and I, a mere mortal who preached a philosophy that caught the attention, both good and bad, of those around him. And as for god, thats a whole other discussion. We are all responsible for our own actions, no one can absolve us of what we do, once it is done, it is the past, but we can still be forgiven, a human trait none the less.
God sent his son to us because he knew we are not capable of coming to him. His will be done whether we obey or not. He dosent need us, we need him. The tree of knowledge is rules, and the tree of life is freedom from rules. The scriptures are still being written on our hearts, and the word of god is a man named jesus, not a book. The duel man is flesh and spirit, and nothing good can come from you. Its god in you doing it, and you yielding. So sin all you want, your forgiven. Im my daddys kid!!!
@careypeak23 This concept of sacrificing a son, even though it was not neccessary, is a troubled thought, are you listening to what you are saying? You have still not seperated religion from your beliefs and they have altered your thinking. God does not need us, cause he does not exist. There is no way to verify if we have pleased him or angered him, at the very least he is a terrible parent. So when I do good, it is god doing it, well then if we do bad, we then see his evil side as well.
First, define these words. God,truth, love. I dont define them the same way you do. God as you define him does not exist, and your actions are what you believe. God is whatever you think he is, and if you dont believe there is a god based on the christian definition, im with u. Your speaking out of a belief system called athiesm, and it is a religion also, a very organized one. Im more quantum physics, for there is no time, time is a distance, and the universe is a snapshot.
@careypeak23 God cannot be whatever I think, since there is no god it is a non issue. Saying that because I do not believe in a god is stretching things, If I said that I do not believe in demons or spirits, Santa Claus or the tooth fairy for that matter, is that a religion also? I do not go to atheist meeting, probably most atheists do not even know each other, so obviously it is not an organized religion as you claim that has a manifesto dictating my actions. I do agree with your time comment.
If the bible is nothing more than fiction, its great fiction, with a great morale and a good lesson. Like Star Wars, or The Matrix. The universe is one piece of mass, all connected. That to me is god. Jesus clearly knew this, thats why he wasnt so into this place, and neither am I. Christians and athiests are crazy, because they define god and the devil the same way. Thier debates are futile. We are free to live however we want. Now what do you want. You define god with the action. u know this!
@careypeak23 That is your opinion of the bible, which I have to partly agree with you on that it is a good read at parts (You can keep Leviticus). I cannot say that I define the devil nor god the same way, neither exist, so neither is an issue with me. I think I get more upset by the religious (Mainstream) who have this elitist attitude, believe the bible was written by some super entity, and take it as the end all to be all. I do not need an ancient tome to tell me right from wrong.
I agree, it makes me sick. And because I do believe Jesus was a real person(world history prettymuch dosen't deny that, on Tim Brown), he called religious people and leaders hypocrites and teachers of the law. Heaven, hell, god, satan.Define these words as your heart dictates, not what organized groups of people. say they r. Jesus would have wondered why they made a bible, or made buildings with crosses on top. He said live out your heart. He was more bhuddist than anything, more quantum physics
@careypeak23 Believing in Jesus is fine, he was actually a person as far as records would indicate (There are those that do question his existence). Because Jesus is also included in the Quran, it would lead me to believe that he was a real person. But believing in jesus makes more sense to me then a meglomaniacal super entitiy that no one has a clue of how to get a hold of. If god owed the credit card companies any money, they would find him! The bible is just a book, a fact plain and simple.
The bible was put together by priests and rabbis when the printing press was invented. They put a hook in it by placing a condition on unconditional love. Guilt and condemnation is a profitable buisness, but has nothing to do with god. The Quaran is just as silly. Athiesm is a joke because it defines the words the same way. What is God. That voice that makes up our mind. Thats what I think. We have to decide on everything we do, so we reason in ourselves and make a descision.
What makes up our mind? Our heart. Sometimes we listen and sometimes we dont, and then we change our mind. The ego clouds our reasoning, and failure pushes us to want to succeed. Perspective and motive are everything. There is nothing religious about this at all. You have to have unconditional love for yourself, your the only one that has to be around you all the time. You love others the same way you love yourself. There is nothing religious about this at all. It is how we find peace of mind
@careypeak23 What makes up my mind is when I am able to acquire all of the information that is available to me, process it, and then come to the most obvious and logical answer. Finding peace of mind is probably simpler then how you describe it. When we overcomplicate matters it tends to overpower us. like a person with OCD, the focus may be on this one thing being done over and over, but if that compulsion, in this instance, can be subdued, then just think of the possibilites. But still no god
Thats cool. Freud and Einstien would have been diagnosed as ocd they say. Thank god they didnt get drugged with some over the counter medication. I take it you like the Bill Mahar movie. He comes off as a sad bitter guy with an axe to grind, just like alot of christians. sometimes the facts and information are not enough. Life happens and it shatter all we thought we knew. When you tell me what you believe, thats what I call god. Belief into action, once again not religious at all.
I am against drugging kids for anything that would turn them into lobotomized trolls. Have not seen Bill Mahers movie. You give yourself little credit for something you and only you control, if what you say would be true then the god puts the idea of murder, rape and other evil thoughts into others minds? Then we could say god told me to, and it would be OK? Your mindset is like a suicide bomber, relenquishing your thoughts to the unknown and supernatural, sounds more and more like a religion.
You forgot the ten commandments(the moral code). We all know right from wrong, the voice of reason(the observer,i am tells us,it is us). We have a freewill of what to do. Suicide bombers are obviousley ignoring the voice of reson(the moral code). We all do sometimes, and sometimes we obey it. It is you, but im not you and your not me. What you are writing in these blogs is based on your freewill. What you decide to do tomorrow is based on what you decide. I cant tell you what is right for you.
@careypeak23 What you're talking about is not a celestial voice nudging you this way or that way. It is what is called social conditioning. Depending on where you were born and what you were born into and your life experiences is what shapes you, not some cosmic sugar daddy. The question is, if it were possible to drop a human baby or two onto a deserted island with no knowledge of religion or deities, would one magicaly make itself known? But we will never know what happens without conditioning
Whats right and wrong for you may be different based on your knowledge of truth, love, life, god,YOURSELF. We all do great things and stupid things, no one is exclude, and we are all unique individuals born into this world at different times and different places. How can i tell you whats right for you when i've never walked a day in your shoes. We all know right from wrong, we just dont always do it.
@careypeak23 Again, nothing cosmic, supernatural, otherworldly, mystical going on here. It seems to me that god is as real as the time we created. All that you stated is real world experiences that have its roots in psychology, social studies and anthropology. Some one born into a band of theives will view the world differently then one born into a rich and sheltered life (This is where Bdudda comes in eh!)
This god you speak of is just made up in yours and others mind, like religion. KISS
Once again, its word association. You think of the religious god of the christians when you hear the word god, and you have a bad taste in your mouth when someone says the word. If someone defines god as anything different you still reject it. You describe the same thing as me and call it different things. The human experience is the same though. Call it what you want, but we are both describing life. Wasnt that what jesus said god is LIFE? So, at the end of the day, you believe what I believe
You just use different words than I do. Im not trying to change your mind, but christians hear this stuff and tell me it comes from the pits of hell. Athiests and christians refuse this concept, because they want to hang on to the belief system. We all have a belief, and you believe too. You call it one thing and I call it another. I refuse to let anyone define words for me. No organized belief, not athiesm or christianity will tell me what god is. God is not mystical, supernatural, otherworldly.
I refuse to have anger and resentment for either side. We all believe in something. Even believing in nothing is still something. You believe there is no god. Thats a belief. I just think its sad that athiests define these words the same as christians, while there is a small minority that refuses to go with either belief, but instead describe god in an induvidual way. You define yourself an athiest, i define myself as an independent. Its all good. Finding your peace is all that matters.Peace!
@careypeak23 I have no ill will towards you, actually I have enjoyed this discussion, it was another facet that is not usually discussed. The whole point being, regardless of whether you or I believe or not believe, if it is true and real, it will not matter, it would exist, or not exist regardless of your or my trivial thoughts on that subject. So basicly treat others respectfully and love your family, that is where true happiness lies, not in the grand scheme, just our little worlds.
@Sunriel A very good question, but a family does not have to be solely of a biological nature. You are definately not pidgeon holed to just those that you were thrust into life with. Or if you were an orphan or due to other circumstances, keeping yourself open to others so that you can still establish a family unit, as minimal or as intense as you need or want. Knowing or not knowing a god has any bearing on this, it is something that only you will know, when you have found it. Good Luck!
@careypeak23 I have a problem wrapping myself around your concept of a god. From your description, which also coincides with that of the christians and others, you offer an explanation that borders on delusional, sorry I am not trying to be mean, but voices in the head? As with the other religions you credit god with planting the thought that is making up your mind. Yes there are some atheists that are overboard, the only reason I label myself as an atheist is that I truly do not believe in god
You even said it yourself,PROCESS INFORMATION. Reasoning, coming to a conclusion for yourself. I define that as god. Everyone in the history of the world has the same process, and collectively make up God as a whole. Quantum physics and bhudism call it the I am, or the observer in us. There is no time, it is a distance. The universe is a snapshot, never changing. These are scientific facts. All that is is everything and nothing, but we lie to ourselves to make us feel identity and belonging
@careypeak23 How is processing information in any form arevelation of a god? So people who have mental issues, what happened there, did god shut them out? Please also explain to me how quantum physics plays a part in this, please cite to me papers involved with this revalation. Bhudism is a whole nother gig which is beyond me since I have a limited knowledge of many of its concepts and do not want to speak of something that I have not delved into deeper. God is not a scientific fact.
The responsibility falls in your lap. You decide every moment to listen to the voice telling u whats right for YOU, and you either do it or not. Only pride dissobeys, because it clouds truth. U can do whatever you want, as long as you are willing to live with the consequences. So we mature and learn from our mistakes by doing what we thnk is right for us, and everybody has this freewill. Truth is life is love is god is YOU. Now, who are you? Thats the journey, getting to know ourselves.
@careypeak23 As a part of the human race, yes, you are responsible for your own actions. What is this life without a god? There is nothing cosmic or otherworldly going on here. Again, it seems to me that you are overcomplicating matters. In the realm of the world, you and I are but trivial matters, no more worth then a grain of sand. The only one who can give purpose to your life is you. Without it you just exist, but is that such a bad thing also? Not in the grand scheme of things it's not.
Check out a documentary called what the @#$! do we know. The universe is one piece of mass, all molocules are connected. Time is a distance, and the universe throught a telescope is a snapshot that can only be observed. There is no then, now, and later. It just is. We are stuck in an illusion called time, but it is the only real thing we know. Every choice has a one and we can land on the one or pick a different option. The observer in us can manipulate molocules based on what we believe(act out)
@careypeak23 This explains nothing of your concept of a god, you are trying to use science and bending it to accomadate your belief, please deal me the facts. Where is this god that talks to you or is he not available at this time. Quantam physics and god do not mix. Their are preachers who use science to validate their god, then in the next breath vilify it and say that science could never disprove god. You cannot have it both ways.
You know the book though, which would tell me religion scarred u just like me. I'll debate street preachers just for fun, and show them that basically they put a condition on unconditional love, which is all you need for yourself, and your good to go. But move the ego aside, and see the great I am, like bhuddist gurus say. Shit, lets get a beer!
@careypeak23 Yes religion has left a bad taste in my mouth. Why would an all knowing god make a list of things that were sins, and then create this loophole where sins are forgiven? Would he just not have the power to do so? And I do not buy the that he did this because there was no other way to get that message across crap, he is supposed to be god, he is supposed to be able to do anything. This is why I'm an atheist, a non existing god just makes sense, it is black and white, just like nature.
What the fuck? The video of this title is called "why some prayers go unanswered" and then the stupid bitch says "Well I cannot tell you specifically, but I can tell you how to pray"
Fucking stupid bitch, this video wasn't called "How to pray" it was called "Why some prayers go unanswered" and she didn't say shit about why prayers go unanswered.
Why can't religious people talk or argue properly? Fucking retarded cunt.
Her words really hit a nerve with you didn't it? I don't know what you believe or who you pray to but out of the mouth come the issues of the heart. I'm sorry you are so full of anger and bitterness.
science is not religion. computers are a product of scientific work. if you don't believe in science you shouldn't be able to use a computer. and it is changing because millions of scientist work to improve humanitys knowledge by gathering more evidence. religion just wants to get more people to believe the same thing without evidence.
Kay you are my Girl, touching Lives for Jesus. A renowned Bible Teacher. Humbly serving the Lord. Your "Precepts upon Precepts ministry" is a life changer. May the LORD who sees all things Bless you. Your Name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life. An example of women who touch lives for Jesus. click on my name, see what I believe, you be the judge. The Lord Jesus sees ALL things. Again Thank you Kay- Glory be to our Lord Jesus Chrst, a name above every other Name in Heven and on Earth.
She's funny enough on the radio, but the VIDEO! Priceless entertainment! The face-lift, wig, "Joan Collins from DYNASTY" outfit, seriousness,...it's too much.
There is no need to be hateful when you don't believe something. I can tell you from experience and because I am a disciple and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ that He is real and he does answer prayer. I can tell you that my prayers are answered by God. The answer is YES, NO or WAIT. Everything that Kay discussed in this video is exactly what is written in the Bible. God's Word tells us that the world is an enemy of God. I believe this is the reason that your feelings are so strong.
@felinedependent3 You can have the same exact experience praying to Harry Potter or even Obi Wan Kenobi. These religions need to stop spreading lies and misinformation, and that goes for all the thousands of them. You need to be honest with yourself and others, it is not the people who do not believe that suffer, but those that are told to believe that which is not true. It would be nice if your god would just come down from up on high and straighten everyone out, but we know it cannot happen.
Ms Kay Arthur seems like a very nice lady but she is so wrong when it comes to prayer. I find it amazing how fundamentalists like her talk about prayer and desperately try to prop up such an idea as if it is factual. It is far from fact. It is superstition. Prayer is talking to yourself that's why no prayers are answered. Not just "some" prayers. Beam me up !
Why doesn't God eliminate cancer when one asks in his name? I think the usual apologetic cop out is, well, it might not be in Gods will to do that? Well isn't that a little cruel of God to not eliminate cancer? let's face the facts. This god does not exist. If he does exist, then he is the most evil being in the universe and very sadistic too.
What does this lady mean some prayers go unanswered? They all are unanswered because there is no God listening. Prayer is talking to yourself. They go no further then the brain.
What i like about Kay is she show us how to study the bible for ourselves. I get so much out of my bible b/c since i'm a visual person, she teach me how to mark the passage in the bible.
I too love Kay. I love her heart for God's people and the Word of God. I led precept studies for 14 years and now am leading Beth Moore studies. I am carrying the skills I learned in precept to the BM classes and reaching a different group of women hungry for the Word of God and it's power in their loves. God bless Kay!
For the past 3 years, God has used the principles and study programs of Kay Arthur to minister to me. What a 180 my life has taken since I first stepped into her precept class at chruch (LEVITICUS, of all books). Haha. I love her!
I love Kay Arthur and Joyce Meyer! There's just something different about than the rest of TV evangelists. With Kay, you can tell she's warm and kind and loving and accepting, and with Joyce Meyer, she's just genuine and tells it like it is...Blessings they are! <3
precept classes are the best, especially for people that were damaged by cults like the way international. i highly recommend any of her classes and thank you to all you precept teacher at fort bragg north carolina!!!! cyndee

If your god has pre-destined everything, and knows all, and has this master plan, then really, praying will do nothing since it is all set in stone.
To believe that the mere uttering of words could physically change the world, is quite simply delusional.

careypeak23 1 year ago
@careypeak23 This concept of sacrificing a son, even though it was not neccessary, is a troubled thought, are you listening to what you are saying? You have still not seperated religion from your beliefs and they have altered your thinking. God does not need us, cause he does not exist. There is no way to verify if we have pleased him or angered him, at the very least he is a terrible parent. So when I do good, it is god doing it, well then if we do bad, we then see his evil side as well.
EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago
First, define these words. God,truth, love. I dont define them the same way you do. God as you define him does not exist, and your actions are what you believe. God is whatever you think he is, and if you dont believe there is a god based on the christian definition, im with u. Your speaking out of a belief system called athiesm, and it is a religion also, a very organized one. Im more quantum physics, for there is no time, time is a distance, and the universe is a snapshot.
careypeak23 1 year ago
@careypeak23 God cannot be whatever I think, since there is no god it is a non issue. Saying that because I do not believe in a god is stretching things, If I said that I do not believe in demons or spirits, Santa Claus or the tooth fairy for that matter, is that a religion also? I do not go to atheist meeting, probably most atheists do not even know each other, so obviously it is not an organized religion as you claim that has a manifesto dictating my actions. I do agree with your time comment.
EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago
If the bible is nothing more than fiction, its great fiction, with a great morale and a good lesson. Like Star Wars, or The Matrix. The universe is one piece of mass, all connected. That to me is god. Jesus clearly knew this, thats why he wasnt so into this place, and neither am I. Christians and athiests are crazy, because they define god and the devil the same way. Thier debates are futile. We are free to live however we want. Now what do you want. You define god with the action. u know this!
careypeak23 1 year ago
@careypeak23 That is your opinion of the bible, which I have to partly agree with you on that it is a good read at parts (You can keep Leviticus). I cannot say that I define the devil nor god the same way, neither exist, so neither is an issue with me. I think I get more upset by the religious (Mainstream) who have this elitist attitude, believe the bible was written by some super entity, and take it as the end all to be all. I do not need an ancient tome to tell me right from wrong.
EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago
I agree, it makes me sick. And because I do believe Jesus was a real person(world history prettymuch dosen't deny that, on Tim Brown), he called religious people and leaders hypocrites and teachers of the law. Heaven, hell, god, satan.Define these words as your heart dictates, not what organized groups of people. say they r. Jesus would have wondered why they made a bible, or made buildings with crosses on top. He said live out your heart. He was more bhuddist than anything, more quantum physics
careypeak23 1 year ago
@careypeak23 Believing in Jesus is fine, he was actually a person as far as records would indicate (There are those that do question his existence). Because Jesus is also included in the Quran, it would lead me to believe that he was a real person. But believing in jesus makes more sense to me then a meglomaniacal super entitiy that no one has a clue of how to get a hold of. If god owed the credit card companies any money, they would find him! The bible is just a book, a fact plain and simple.
EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago
The bible was put together by priests and rabbis when the printing press was invented. They put a hook in it by placing a condition on unconditional love. Guilt and condemnation is a profitable buisness, but has nothing to do with god. The Quaran is just as silly. Athiesm is a joke because it defines the words the same way. What is God. That voice that makes up our mind. Thats what I think. We have to decide on everything we do, so we reason in ourselves and make a descision.
careypeak23 1 year ago
What makes up our mind? Our heart. Sometimes we listen and sometimes we dont, and then we change our mind. The ego clouds our reasoning, and failure pushes us to want to succeed. Perspective and motive are everything. There is nothing religious about this at all. You have to have unconditional love for yourself, your the only one that has to be around you all the time. You love others the same way you love yourself. There is nothing religious about this at all. It is how we find peace of mind
careypeak23 1 year ago
@careypeak23 What makes up my mind is when I am able to acquire all of the information that is available to me, process it, and then come to the most obvious and logical answer. Finding peace of mind is probably simpler then how you describe it. When we overcomplicate matters it tends to overpower us. like a person with OCD, the focus may be on this one thing being done over and over, but if that compulsion, in this instance, can be subdued, then just think of the possibilites. But still no god
EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago
Belief into action, once again not religious at all.
careypeak23 1 year ago
I am against drugging kids for anything that would turn them into lobotomized trolls. Have not seen Bill Mahers movie. You give yourself little credit for something you and only you control, if what you say would be true then the god puts the idea of murder, rape and other evil thoughts into others minds? Then we could say god told me to, and it would be OK? Your mindset is like a suicide bomber, relenquishing your thoughts to the unknown and supernatural, sounds more and more like a religion.
EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago
You forgot the ten commandments(the moral code). We all know right from wrong, the voice of reason(the observer,i am tells us,it is us). We have a freewill of what to do. Suicide bombers are obviousley ignoring the voice of reson(the moral code). We all do sometimes, and sometimes we obey it. It is you, but im not you and your not me. What you are writing in these blogs is based on your freewill. What you decide to do tomorrow is based on what you decide. I cant tell you what is right for you.
careypeak23 1 year ago
@careypeak23 What you're talking about is not a celestial voice nudging you this way or that way. It is what is called social conditioning. Depending on where you were born and what you were born into and your life experiences is what shapes you, not some cosmic sugar daddy. The question is, if it were possible to drop a human baby or two onto a deserted island with no knowledge of religion or deities, would one magicaly make itself known? But we will never know what happens without conditioning
EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago
Whats right and wrong for you may be different based on your knowledge of truth, love, life, god,YOURSELF. We all do great things and stupid things, no one is exclude, and we are all unique individuals born into this world at different times and different places. How can i tell you whats right for you when i've never walked a day in your shoes. We all know right from wrong, we just dont always do it.
careypeak23 1 year ago
@careypeak23 Again, nothing cosmic, supernatural, otherworldly, mystical going on here. It seems to me that god is as real as the time we created. All that you stated is real world experiences that have its roots in psychology, social studies and anthropology. Some one born into a band of theives will view the world differently then one born into a rich and sheltered life (This is where Bdudda comes in eh!)
This god you speak of is just made up in yours and others mind, like religion. KISS
EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago
Once again, its word association. You think of the religious god of the christians when you hear the word god, and you have a bad taste in your mouth when someone says the word. If someone defines god as anything different you still reject it. You describe the same thing as me and call it different things. The human experience is the same though. Call it what you want, but we are both describing life. Wasnt that what jesus said god is LIFE? So, at the end of the day, you believe what I believe
careypeak23 1 year ago
You just use different words than I do. Im not trying to change your mind, but christians hear this stuff and tell me it comes from the pits of hell. Athiests and christians refuse this concept, because they want to hang on to the belief system. We all have a belief, and you believe too. You call it one thing and I call it another. I refuse to let anyone define words for me. No organized belief, not athiesm or christianity will tell me what god is. God is not mystical, supernatural, otherworldly.
careypeak23 1 year ago

EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago
@EchosFromaBlankMind What happens if I don't have a family? How will I achieve this happiness? Just curious.
Sunriel 1 year ago
@Sunriel A very good question, but a family does not have to be solely of a biological nature. You are definately not pidgeon holed to just those that you were thrust into life with. Or if you were an orphan or due to other circumstances, keeping yourself open to others so that you can still establish a family unit, as minimal or as intense as you need or want. Knowing or not knowing a god has any bearing on this, it is something that only you will know, when you have found it. Good Luck!
EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago
@careypeak23 I have a problem wrapping myself around your concept of a god. From your description, which also coincides with that of the christians and others, you offer an explanation that borders on delusional, sorry I am not trying to be mean, but voices in the head? As with the other religions you credit god with planting the thought that is making up your mind. Yes there are some atheists that are overboard, the only reason I label myself as an atheist is that I truly do not believe in god
EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago
You even said it yourself,PROCESS INFORMATION. Reasoning, coming to a conclusion for yourself. I define that as god. Everyone in the history of the world has the same process, and collectively make up God as a whole. Quantum physics and bhudism call it the I am, or the observer in us. There is no time, it is a distance. The universe is a snapshot, never changing. These are scientific facts. All that is is everything and nothing, but we lie to ourselves to make us feel identity and belonging
careypeak23 1 year ago

Thats the journey, getting to know ourselves.
careypeak23 1 year ago
@careypeak23 As a part of the human race, yes, you are responsible for your own actions. What is this life without a god? There is nothing cosmic or otherworldly going on here. Again, it seems to me that you are overcomplicating matters. In the realm of the world, you and I are but trivial matters, no more worth then a grain of sand. The only one who can give purpose to your life is you. Without it you just exist, but is that such a bad thing also? Not in the grand scheme of things it's not.
EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago
Check out a documentary called what the @#$! do we know. The universe is one piece of mass, all molocules are connected. Time is a distance, and the universe throught a telescope is a snapshot that can only be observed. There is no then, now, and later. It just is. We are stuck in an illusion called time, but it is the only real thing we know. Every choice has a one and we can land on the one or pick a different option. The observer in us can manipulate molocules based on what we believe(act out)
careypeak23 1 year ago
@careypeak23 This explains nothing of your concept of a god, you are trying to use science and bending it to accomadate your belief, please deal me the facts. Where is this god that talks to you or is he not available at this time. Quantam physics and god do not mix. Their are preachers who use science to validate their god, then in the next breath vilify it and say that science could never disprove god. You cannot have it both ways.
EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago
You know the book though, which would tell me religion scarred u just like me. I'll debate street preachers just for fun, and show them that basically they put a condition on unconditional love, which is all you need for yourself, and your good to go. But move the ego aside, and see the great I am, like bhuddist gurus say. Shit, lets get a beer!
careypeak23 1 year ago

Fucking retarded cunt.

science is not religion. computers are a product of scientific work. if you don't believe in science you shouldn't be able to use a computer. and it is changing because millions of scientist work to improve humanitys knowledge by gathering more evidence. religion just wants to get more people to believe the same thing without evidence.

@felinedependent3 The words you used to describe this whole discussion was perfect. I believe that you were just used by the Spirit of God. =) <3
Sunriel 1 year ago
@felinedependent3 You can have the same exact experience praying to Harry Potter or even Obi Wan Kenobi. These religions need to stop spreading lies and misinformation, and that goes for all the thousands of them. You need to be honest with yourself and others, it is not the people who do not believe that suffer, but those that are told to believe that which is not true. It would be nice if your god would just come down from up on high and straighten everyone out, but we know it cannot happen.
EchosFromaBlankMind 1 year ago

If he does exist, then he is the most evil being in the universe and very sadistic too.
nogogma 2 years ago
What does this lady mean some prayers go unanswered? They all are unanswered because there is no God listening. Prayer is talking to yourself. They go no further then the brain.
