Yes/No/Wait is quite equivalent with nobody listening. I don't think anybody can ever know the will of (a) God, though some theologians pretend so. The Romans quote explains little about knowing the will of God: Good/Acceptable are ambigous.

Btw, I see comments regarding atheists as 'believing there is no God'. Atheists just lack a belief in God. It's like going to God-supermarket: some people buy Yahweh, some Allah, some Vishnu. Atheists buy nothing at all.

We really do not believe the same thing, you suggest that (lets use the term force instead of god) a force bestows upon you wisdom to operate through your life, if it comes from you it comes from that force. I however feel that we are seperate from each other, we learn from our physical environment, and not some made up force exerting its will on us. The bottom line is that God created this world and man to glorify Him. It's all about Him, not us. Sometimes we lose sight of this and our prayers become about what we want and not what God wants. Someone posted about cancer and bad things and why wouldn't God take those away. It is hard to understand suffering, but know this...God created a perfect world, but because of sin there is suffering, sickness, and death. Jesus came so that we can live forever without these things!

The bottom line is that God did not create a perfect world and instead of taking responsability for his mistake, he's mad at his creation. If you would do that, you would be considered inmoral, but if god does it, well, we excuse him. At the beginning of his creation God said, "all is good.' But not too long later, by Genesis 6, he realize that all was not good after all and so he proceeded to destroy everything in the most cruel way--drawning. One has to be a psychopath to do that.

The bible was put together by priests and rabbis when the printing press was invented. They put a hook in it by placing a condition on unconditional love. @Sunriel A very good question, but a family does not have to be solely of a biological nature. You are definately not pidgeon holed to just those that you were thrust into life with. Or if you were an orphan or due to other circumstances, keeping yourself open to others so that you can still establish a family unit, as minimal or as intense as you need or want. Knowing or not knowing a god has any bearing on this, it is something that only you will know, when you have found it. Good Luck!
