  • has it got a webcam built in coz its ma b day in a few days and ive bin looking for one and ow much was it x

  • the 8gb are better andreoushunter they are the best machines in the whole world

  • wtf is this?

you are commenting on a video with 57 commetns with positive feedback and you say that nobody "fu**ing cares"?

boy, you're a really angry boy.

  • What 57! omg thats loads! i wish i hadnt said anything now....

  • sarcasm is great huh?

  • get an external hardrive

  • your plugs are difrent then mine thats weird

  • my eee pc has 160 gb

  • I like your hair

  • "Be a man! Install linux!" lol

  • ( this vid makes me so sad. some1 msg me!! xD h

  • Hey i just got my eeepc and i was wondering how to get my wireless going? i've been struggling the whole day. Any help?

  • One of my pet peeves on laptops is the battery life. If it can't last for 3hrs then it won't be useful either! I hear that eeepc has a battery life of 2 hrs!

  • 2 and a half is his.

  • Have an eeepc excellent with xp on it, take it anywhere laptop!

  • im getting the the 701 4g with 1gb RAM

  • can it use usb optical mice?

  • yes

  • And oh, about your stuck pixel. If you havn't fixed it yet, here's a tip, just rub it gentely with your finger. That should make it go away.

  • Now, all we have to do is wait until they can make one that size, with a 300GB hard drive,

4GB of RAM and Windows Home Premium or higher.

  • 300-701 2G Surf = $299 + Tax

    300-701 4G = $349 + Tax

    300-701 4G + 1GB DDR2 = $399 + Tax

    300-701 8G + 1GB DDR2 = $449.99 + Tax

    300-701 12G + Windows XP or 20G + Xandros = $499.99 + Tax and higher

Go for the 2G Surf. It's cheap, reliable, and you can still upgrade the memory module to 1GB or 2GB to run applications and the operating system faster.

  • Hi, thinking of buying one.

how many mp3 files can you have?

  • About as much as an MP3 player.

  • |No it doesnt

  • Ive been looking To find one of them Where could i get one ? Could u give me a Website or some think plz

  • Does Asus EEEPC Have A CD-ROM?

  • no it doesnt. wireless network and virtual CDs are advised

  • Oh. I Kinda Like To Buy One. Because It's So Small.

  • Thanks for the part when you say it's easy to upgrade the ram. Think I'm going to get one of these now...

  • very cool video dude. However, I just wanted to let you know that booting from the SD cards can been a little bad for you. I have known some people that have had their eee's have issues with this because they were not meant to be written only a certain number of times. USB is much better. I will be looking forward to your future posts.

  • Interesting guy

  • lol u where screen recording your webcam!!!!!

  • How many Does it cost?

    i also want one :D

  • like 600-700 bucks

  • More like $300-500 for the 701 eee.

  • bigmanmamasboy is wrong, it goes from 300-650$

    300=701 2G Surf

    350=701 4G Surf

    400=701 4G with 1GB RAM

    500=701 8G with 1GB Ram

550=900 12G with WinXP or the 20G with Xandros

Supposedly the new 901 will also be 550 which will have 802.11n/bluetooth/1.3mp camera/8 hour battery

There will also be the 1000 and the 1000H(this one has xp and a standard hard drive instead of a solid state drive) that are rumored to be 650$

  • Nice

  • nice videos man......

  • man you can install xp sp2/3 with only on USB disk

send me a PM and will show you how

  • Well , I'm Getting the Exact same model as you , Mobilephone2003. But i am going to keep it linux , i dont know if this is true but people say XP makes the eeepc 's battery life less, and also thats what my current laptops for, but anyway thanks for a Great Video Again keep 'em Comin' ,shanebunting

  • uhhh... should i buy asus eeepc or asus eeepc900?

  • up to you

  • thanks!

  • What Tool Was The Boot Tool?

  • My asus, had one droplet of water and now the keyboard is screwed also asus doesn't seem to do repairs unless it is under the warranty,

    Which is kinda sucky...

  • do you have an airing cupboard?if so,(might and might not work)-but,try putting it in there for a few days and see if it drys out.my friend poured a hole mug of aple juice on his and it worked.hope this helps....

  • First, thanks more than I can say for posting this! Second, which XP is pre-loaded in the version that includes XP? Is it SP2(please say yes)? And (if I were to just go with the Linux OS version) how different is it from XP SP2? Also will Firefox, GIMP, and VLC Media player run on the EeePC(same time or separately) ?

Last question, should I just wait for the next Asus Eee to come out if I don't really need it yet (since I'm not exactly liking the newest release)?

  • I Like The White One Better

    Idk Why?

    Lol

    Yea Dud Im Buying (Happy)

    :)

theres one in ebay its about 386 Dollars USA

    :)

  • Thanks for the videos, really enjoy them.

I'm thinking of picking up one of these when the 9inch screen is released. I have a MacBook Pro, but it's a pain lugging it around. Any chance you could do a little video on the linux apps on this machine and your thoughts on the distro that comes on it?

    Thanks again.

  • are u going to get the eee pc 900 when it comes out? bigger touchpad(with gestures), 8.9 inch screen with 1024x600 resolution, 1.3mp camera (1280x1024!), and 8gb for xp version, and 12 or 20 gb for linux version, all for around 500 dollars, or 399 euros

  • possibly

  • Awesome!! I was actually looking to pick one up over the summer, and look forward to all of your vids on this nice machine.

  • dude i have 4 gigs of ram. that s got a 4 gig hard drive? i don't see how they couldn't get an extra 10 gig at least on there. if they can fit 4 gigs on an sd card, they should fit more on the whole comp!!!!! but yea, does look cool.

  • Keeping costs down. Its an SSD (Solid State Disk), would be more expensive with the bigger drive. I'm now using a USB 80GB one with it

  • What version of linux does it come with? I looked at it on Amazon but it didn't say if it came with Ubuntu or what.

  • Xandros (Custom EEEPC Version)

  • Interesting video :)

What was the name of the program which came with your USB stick to make it bootable?

  • Netac Onlydisk format tool

  • You can get a program from HP, filename: HPUSBBoot cp006486.exe, that will make any USB dribe bootable. Take a few minutes.

  • thx for this great vid nice vid :d

  • Duncan, all you need is a better camera and you'll become one of YouTube's favorite tutorial stars ;-) Everything else is mint!

  • Actually the quality was pretty good when he did a screen capture of the camera program, a few videos ago. The only problem was that there was a BIG mouse pointer in the middle of the screen!! Maybe camstudio can remove that I don't know, but the problem is not the camera :)

  • I was screen recording the preview again, it seems to not like it when there is artificial light, as santa said it was all good a couple of vids ago. The camera on the EEEPC is much nicer.

  • pretty interesting. yeah thats what i also hate how when you close your laptop it automaticly goes on stand by. my laptop does that as well. it annoys the hell ot of me lol, ok enough of that. nice vid! i might even get one of those little things myself.

  • It Looks cool i want 1 lol !!!

  • Looks so cool!

  • Can you make a video from the ASUS EEE pc camara so we can see the quality and fps.

    Thxs.

  • awesome
