stupid haters, he's just trying to teach you have to walk before you can run and you have to crawl before you can walk. if he came in here doing some crazy DJ Qbert shit and said "okay now you know what to do hope I was a big help practice and enjoy mhm" all the novices would be sitting there like ok thanks. but now some of us dont want to be 30 years old and spinning in warehouses we want to learn now and be taught not take the years to learn on your own. Thanks Jonathan for covering the basics
thanks a lot... don't listen to all the haters on the net, if i may speak for the majority of us out here though, it is a great thing you are doing. we appreciate all the time you put into these videos, so keep 'em comin'. peace
I agree, to all the people hating, either add comments to help or do your own site! its all bout helping people new to the game, just remember the first time you tried to beat match, if you had this guy helping, even a little, you would have been grateful. keep up the good work mate!
Okay djmench so technically what he's doing is more like mixing...but sense he's going back and forth between two records rather then just playing one and bringing the other in and cutting the first record out, he's actually doing a mixture of both back spinning and mixing-beatjuggling originated from backspinning. If you understand back spinning you'll eventually get "beatjuggling", it's the basics. Also his theory or whoes ever theory it is that he's using seems pretty head on and simple.
This isn't beat jugglin, this is mixing. You just indroduce and go back and forth between two house records (Paul Johson FTW). You have been a DJ for 25 years, and you call this beat juggling? Beat juggling is when you utililze the kick, snare, and bass hits from two records (same or different), and basically make a new beat out of a combination of the two. All you do is go back and forth between two matched records.
I noticed that you dont really use your crossfader that much. In this video, you probably used your corssfader more than all your videos put together, why is that?
when beat juggling you'll have your hands on the records, so by leaving the crossfader in the middle, you can rest assured knowing that the record will play through the channels as soon as you release it.
dont mean to p@ss on your bonfire but techincally this isnt beat juggling sorry, to beat juggle you need two identical records. i showed this using chic good times in one of my ten min mixes
There is o golder rule to say you need two identical records, the term beat juggling applies to messing about with beats , it does not apply to using two of the same record, but thanks fro your input. johnathan
super helpful thanks

Maybe it's labeled differently over in England or Europe or whatever but in the US that's simple blending & mixing. Sounded good though.

this is not beatjugling, it is a very simple backspin.
