I like this feature, but it Would be awesome if they surrenderd without having 100 rounds shot at them, + if you could make your squad to take them alive, like that they Would surrender when you and 2 guys run around the corner and hold à gun to his face

How realistic is the surrendering enemy? Do they try to wrestle away your weapon if you get close? Do they spit and throw their own turds at you? Do they growl and chant "Death to Americans", and beat their heads on stuff to cause self-injury so liberal politicians will accuse you of war crimes?

Sickboy answered my question on BI forums, thanks:

When the AI surrenders, he is set to "Captive", in A2 a Captive unit changes side to civilian.

Thus they will not show up as SIDE (west/east/guer) PRESENT, and should end missions properly.
