It's not that people don't have money to feed their dogs. They just want to see something suffer. Usually the owner is some big fat pig. How much does it cost to buy a bag of dog food or a can of food a day?

I have called the authorities on people with animals they neglect and NO ONE did anything about the abuse... When I tried to FEED the neglected dog... the sheriff was called and I was given a warning to stay away.... MONTHS later the dog is still starving and I'm not ALLOWED BY LAW to feed it.... WTF!

this is how my puppy was treated until his cruel owners left him, his mom, and his 6 siblings in a bow in the woods th die until a farmer found them and took them to the humane sociaty and we adopted him in April 2011. his name is charlie and he is 11 months old. he is a male chihuhua. since we adopted him he has grown 3 pounds. he is doing well and he is healthy and happy and very energetic.
My grandpa and I one time found a poor starving dog. It was in the middle of winter and he not only was he starved to the bone but was also soaking wet and freezing. We took him in for a night, gave him heat and food and water. The poor thing was such a sweetie and he seemed so grateful to us for helping him. Omg this is fuckin disgraceful, i have 2 dogs 1 is a yorkie and the other is a 6 week old border collie & i take excellent care of them, they have a constant supply of water and they get fed several times each day, my little yorkie only eats dry food & his food bowl is never empty, i personally would starve to feed my animals & i swear to that, theyre my babies & i would never dream of depriving them of food & water, thats the basic requirement of any animal, why are people so cruel is beyond me

Sad but true, irresponsible owners will never learn. Ive known several who get rid of one pet only to get a new one. We, rescuers might be solving their "problems". One of my teachers put to sleep 3 dogs in 10 years, one everytime she moved! then she got a new one. I think our governments should really penalize abuse and get sure dogs are not being dumped by monitoring them and their owners. Dogs reproduction should also be restricted and illegal reproduction/ selling should be prosecuted.
It is sad to think how fucked up people can be, I have heard too many cases where people spend huge money on dogs, then they tie em up on a short leash and leave them outside to starve, oh and they also physically abuse the dogs too.

While I was vacationing in Taiwan, I saw a Dalmatian stray who was starved til you could see every bone in him. He looked exactly like the dogs in these pictures. He had very little energy and strength left in him, and it pained me to watch him limp through the streets as people passed him, ignoring him like it was a common thing to see everyday. We walked next to him for a brief moment, and he looked at us with these eyes that screamed "help me". We had to leave him. I never forgot that day.
im being serious about this they took pictures of these dogs before feeding them and god knows even if they did feed them there is 2 types of dog starvation cruelty 1: not feeding them 2: taking pictures of them and not feeding them.

Omg this is fuckin disgraceful, i have 2 dogs 1 is a yorkie and the other is a 6 week old border collie & i take excellent care of them, they have a constant supply of water and they get fed several times each day, my little yorkie only eats dry food & his food bowl is never empty, i personally would starve to feed my animals & i swear to that, theyre my babies & i would never dream of depriving them of food & water, thats the basic requirement of any animal, why are people so cruel is beyond me

I wish it was a law, if you are caught abusing animals, the same thing that you are doing to the animal should be done to you without rescue. i was going to say that animal abusers should be shot in the head but that would be to quick with an instant death, it just wouldnt be fair to the abused animal if the abuser ddnt suffer as the animal did... just my opinion

Sad but true, irresponsible owners will never learn. Ive known several who get rid of one pet only to get a new one. We, rescuers might be solving their "problems". One of my teachers put to sleep 3 dogs in 10 years, one everytime she moved! then she got a new one. I think our governments should really penalize abuse and get sure dogs are not being dumped by monitoring them and their owners. Dogs reproduction should also be restricted and illegal reproduction/ selling should be prosecuted.

It is sad to think how fucked up people can be, I have heard too many cases where people spend huge money on dogs, then they tie em up on a short leash and leave them outside to starve, oh and they also physically abuse the dogs too.
Like why, and how can people do that, it seems compassion is rare in most humans.

I remember when I was a kid...Me and this kid dipped an M-80 in Vaseline, and stuck it up this golden retriever's butt, and lit it with a BBQ lighter.
The poor pooch lost half his body, and I'll never forget...he was still moving around screaming and whining for a few minutes...Funny yet sad.

While I was vacationing in Taiwan, I saw a Dalmatian stray who was starved til you could see every bone in him. He looked exactly like the dogs in these pictures. He had very little energy and strength left in him, and it pained me to watch him limp through the streets as people passed him, ignoring him like it was a common thing to see everyday. We walked next to him for a brief moment, and he looked at us with these eyes that screamed "help me". We had to leave him. I never forgot that day.
